You might want to leave quick draw out of the playlist since it limits it to 2 players. I'm thinking about making a 4 player version, but I'd set the minimum to 4 so no 2 vs 1.

One of my earlier deathmatches. I like the area for it's three levels, although the stairs to the balcony level can be a bit of a choke point - unless you know how to take the long way around by going up the ladders by the police station and walking across the skybridge to the roof level.

Great location for a DM as I made one here myself. It's very scenic and has multiple tiers so makes for some very nice action. Played with a decent amount of people of Free-For-All which was the default setting. No complaints but I put Shotguns on mine to speed the action up. I would maybe add some explosive props on the stairs to some funny kills, why not 4.2/5

There is one pump shotgun pickup on the second level, and I have been shot with it a few times. Good idea on the explosives, I think I might try to place a red fuel cylinder right by the spot where I like to camp with the good view of the ground level.

You can use any earphones that plug into the ps4 pad, mines is a £6 pair with a mic that I already had to use with me phone!

This topic always inspires me so I have had another go (published over 250 jobs, and this is only my 3rd DM)

 

I would like help on the following, spawn positions - (this is a 4v4 map how many should I use ? I went with 20, too much or too little ?)

Weapons - I had I think around 20 weapon slots left but felt I would just be placing them to use them all up, should I do so or should I place even less ?) also all the normal great feedback I see on here appreciated, really enjoy creating just don't play enough TDMs to fully understand what seperates poor from great :)

Personally, I place all the spawn points I think fit. For every 2 spawn points, you can have a player. So, if you have 20 spawns, you could have 10 players. There's also a

that can come in handy. (Just, be sensible with it.) Sometimes, it doesn't allow you to place spawns near props, you can use it then. A good rule of thumb, I'd recommend is placing spawns on the border of the map. (Not a 100% time thing, but certainly worth bearing in mind.)

 

As for weapons: I'd recommend learning to do the number glitch (you may know this one Don, can also be used in pit lanes. ;) ) By doing this, you can "stack" weapon pickups, getting a cleaner map than if you just clutter them all in, but also offering plenty of ammo. So, while only having between 4 and 7 placements, I am using all 40 of the allotted weapons. (Adjust accordingly for the size of the map.)

 

I'd also recommend keeping the weapon choice simple. Avoid using more than one weapon per weapon section on the wheel. You'll often get people not realising they've picked up a weapon, because it shares a category with another. Weapons to avoid are heavy weapons(RPGs etc), stickies and Automatic shotguns. Also, make sure the forced weapon is at least the "jack of all trades", if it isn't the only weapon type on offer.

 

Just some general advice, that anyone can use.

+- Pistols in free aim are a bit underpowered, particularly if it isn't flat. So, that could have had an impact, but I suspect an automatic weapon would still be quite dominant, even in assissted aim. Either, make it an SMG map, or a pistols map, not both

+-Felt quite spaced out for a 4v4 map. Maybe, use the spawn glitch (sensibly of course) to condense the action, or increase player count.

+-use the weapon stack glitch to stack weapons

Cheers Jim, so would you suggest removing the .50 as base weapon and replacing with uzi ? Also would upping it to a 6v6 be a better option to a spawn glitch solution ? Sorry for all the questions, this is all fairly new to me !

Nah, not the Uzi. Combat PDW only might be quite fun.

 

I think that 6v6 would work quite well.

Another question for anyone who plays created DMs, what has been your favourite custom DM, and why ? what makes that job better than the rest ?

 

It's difficult to pick one, and note unlike the creator community, free aimers play with owned weapons and an etiquette.

 

For close range - Action Movie 52 (on Owned weapons, Rifles Only) - http://rsg.ms/d5c2f61

 

Because it's an enclosed space with lots of flanking routes, with good props and multiple levels of attack.

Another enclosed map, with a bit more long range shooting opportunities.

 

What makes a good map, in my view, is a clear boundary of action, good spawns, multiple routes of attack and of course no explosives.

 

I would bracket the following weapons together in maps (weapon sets)

 

Weak - Pistol, Uzi, Sawn-off Shotgun, Weak Sniper

Standard - Combat Pistol, MP5 or Combat PDW, AK47, Grenade

Powerful - AP Pistol,Combat MG, Carbine Rifles, P90,Heavy Sniper, Sticky bomb

 

OP Weapons are obviously explosives, miniguns, assault shotgun, probably ok for Assisted Aim Lucifers. :p

Here are my thoughts.

 

1. The location is fine, but most of the action seemed focus in open play towards the north of the map. Maybe a result of one team being stronger than the other, but I didn't ever spawn behind them, so that's maybe a good indication of good respawn points

2. The default pistols are fine, with the right aim they're not underpowered. I would say generally the weapon selection is a bit limited, but it was nice to play a map in which it wasn't just rifles, it reminded me a little of a map made my TheMcKeever himself in this location. The PDW is a nice pick up on the map, but appeared to be randomly placed, with other pistols and a grenade spawn. Weapon spawns were balanced between the two teams which is always a plus

3. It's too big of an area of 4 vs 4, and could be extended for atleast 6 vs 6 in my view, either that or add a sniper rifle on either side of the map.

4. Needs more tractors and some props seemed completely unfitting of the location.

Warehouse - PS3/4

Overwhelm a partner with an arsenal prepared in this death match performed near a warehouse.

Good location which right of the bat I'm gonna say suits having the two mini-gun pickups at opposite ends of the map. liked the other weapons you placed and enjoyed weaving in and out of cover between objects and alleys in this one. No problems with spawns neither when played with few. 4/5

My description:

This is a small wild west style match on the side of Mt. Chiliad. Keeping with the theme the forced weapon is heavy revolver, with marksman pistol, and marksman rifle pickups.

Max 8 players.

Very scenic area here, looks great. Weapons are from yester-year although the marksman rifle is very OP compared to the rest. The spawns usually placed people far away rather than nearby and the uneven landscape doesn't work in this ones favour as it gives whoevers got the highest ground the most advantage. 3.2/5

Made by an asshat who really liked Deadpool who made a clickbait tıtle because he's a Iike-whœr. He's also pissed that Røçkştąr censors words in an M rated game.

Decent job at a decent location with a nice choice of weapons, but I'm unsure as to why you've took an already verified job and re-made it when there was nothing wrong with the original... I'm sure you'll let us know, either way this is a pretty good and frantic car-park brawl 4/5
