MCThug
@HazzardX, It's a suggestion. He doesn't need to do it if he dun want to. On the other side @GTARandom, why not make this a community project with modders able to contribute lots and such? It would make this project go much, much faster! As always, just a suggestion! nkjellman
I must say this. When LC is brought to GTA V, I sure hope this gets used with GTARandom's permission of course. I love mods that expand on the concept that Rockstar had with GTA. @GTARandom: Another interior idea. An interior of one of the police stations. You could use the models from the GTA V one, retexture to be LC, and maybe change the layout a bit. Also, out of curiosity, do you have any plans on making a similar mod like this for V's map? For example, there are some Burger Shots and Clucken Bells around the map that could use the IV interior. Also by the way, feel free to use any of the files from my mod EFLC Map Updates on IV. It can be found on Moddb, but its old so your better off looking it up on Google if you're interested. Just be sure to give credit.
EncryptedReality
If someone wants to help me on the mod, they are welcome to PM me about it with also their work which can show that they can actually do stuff - this is to avoid people with absolutely no knowledge joining and then doing nothing that contributes to this project in any way. As for turning this mod into a community project, this may sound stupid, but how do i do that? And what are the biggest advantages of that - assuming it's help from other people but what are the other remaining advantages(if any)? @nkjellman: Wasn't there a police station interior already in the game? Used in the cutscene for Francis McReary's missions in Algonquin? Unfortunatelly, i don't think it's accessible by default apart from the aforementioned cutscene(s)... I don't have any plans for V modding at this point, i used to plan in the past and it got me nowhere, i am starting to believe it's better to go with the flow with all this work(pretty similar to life in general as well) so that means once V is out on PC and moddable, then i can consider thinking of some ideas for that game! (Although, your ideas for adding the mentioned interiors in your post do sound quite swell). Also, thank you for letting me use the files from your EFLC Map Updates mod! (Although, your ideas for adding the mentioned interiors in your post do sound quite swell). Also, thank you for letting me use the files from your EFLC Map Updates mod! Wow, totally forgot about the police station cut scene interior in IV. But I was actually thinking of a different police station, like the one where the APC spawns in TBoGT Free Mode. But there are a few things you should know about EFLC Map Updates. 1. It messes up the bowling ally score boards. 2. It is quite large. I left over a lot of test files in the game as I was having issues with the west side of Bohan. However I don't think there are any map updates there besides the cut scene interior of Elizebeta's apartment with the Kitchen. I left them in there because I was trying to see if anyone could fix it. 3. It has bugs with objects that change through the course of the game (but every map mod does) 4. The updated map files have console resolution textures. Rockstar never updated the resolution. 5. Bahama Mammas has a shader bug on the front which I fixed in my IV/EFLC Graphical Bug Fixes, and haven't fixed in EFLC Map Updates as I did the map in 2010, and the bug fix in 2013. (Funny story is that bug is caused by a typo so it screwed it up.) Anyways, you can use that too as long as credit was given (Majestic helped on this one). The Bug Fix does fix many of the non working lights around LC from the 7th patch. It might be the solution if your not able to get lights working properly in the interiors. Rockstar f*cked up many of the light sources around LC. It even fixed the lights under the train tracks in Dukes, which I forgot were there until I restored the old shader. burger_mike
Good idea HazzardX! This is how the final version of the store exterior should look like close-up: note that the ped you see outside of the shop entrance is not a SNT spawn! I don't know about you guys but to me this looks like a new DLC map content as it would be if Rockstar created it officially! Also, wow LOL someone took a shot nearly identical to mine, only FOV is a lot different! This is for comparison to original: I mean the promotional posters on the wall Yeah, if you mean the "Badger" one being too big comparison to others, yes i'd deffinetly agree, i done that pretty quickly prior to first in-game tests, a fixed version should be seen on the upcoming pictures i plan on posting later today or soon! Looks awesome man, good work. Edited September 20, 2014 by ANAL_PLUNDERING
EncryptedReality
The following screenshots and a video of the 247 store(to be posted after the screenshots here) will probably be the last i'm going to show here before my hoped release of this mod(unless someone decides to script robbery for it or something more for it). To clarify, these will most likely/probably be the last updates from the 247 store that i'll be showing you before the mod is hopefully released - one of the reasons i'm telling you this is because i kind of got bored of this interior and want to move onto new things I think some of you people feel the same about it! On top of all that, i believe it's in a 'finished' state in terms of modeling and setup on the map anyway! Anyway, here're screenshots mentioned: Niko cinematic shots: Requested newspaper stand with newspapers and various magazines: (Including the one with the toy inside a plastic box bundled with the magazine itself!) Generic interior screenshots: (Taken from the rest of the store interior) Store interior(partially exterior) MLO LOD: (You can see the fake omni-light inside the interior from the distance, but only the interior main shell objects appear) Next planned for the mod: Short interior walkthrough video will be posted here soon Next task is to make a FIA(Francis International Airport) main terminal interior(see picture below to see what it looks like by default) : Edited September 20, 2014 by GTARandom ClaudX, RoadRunner71, Oldsmobile_85 and 11 others

EncryptedReality
I think that not many people know this, but there is a cash register i also used in this last interior located in the [email protected] internet caffe and you can actually open its lid and if you're lucky there will be some money lying around in there, in any case, a few moments later you get a wanted level and you gotta escape the cops!(or get busted/killed by them) The same applies here for this interior of the store... I think it would be cool to have a script that lets you rob stores like in GTA V... but that's just wishful thinking! EncryptedReality
Already looking forward to see some progress in the airport terminal. Is it intended to resemble the original JFK airport? Yeah, i think it is. I think i'll make only part of the interior, not the entire one because really there's no point in it all, i'll just block the offending parts with fake doors and/or windows like Rockstar blocked us from entering the interior from exterior. @uNi and others: i'm glad you're all loving the interior! MenuET
Slice modifier can be useful for you while you work on interiors. It cuts the top of the building so you can see inside the model without the annoying ceiling. Like The Sims. See here (it starts at 1:50, results are shown on 3:00 and you can watch until 4:40, you can also speed the video 2x, video en español, but just watch, no need to pay attention at the guy speaking): It is very useful to work with the airport, as the airport geometry is unusual and complicated Edited September 21, 2014 by MenuET
EncryptedReality
I wouldn't be able to achieve what i did without some knowledge in modeling, i actually use the 'Slice' tool/modifier quite often! _CP_
Could you tell me, which material did you used to achieve reflections on floor?
EncryptedReality
I didn't use any material for the mirroring(reflections) itself, but i did make the floor texture transparent so you can see the mirror beneath the floor surface Mirrors in GTA IV with real-time reflections are just flipped portals(unlike the normal generic ones for interior entry) used in the MLO interior setup assigned with special flags While the portals imported into GIMS appear as 2D planes, the game just reads the 4 vertex far ends' coordinates to position the point of entry into the interiors and also some MLO exteriors i think like the Booth Tunnel This is how a normal portal is set up in IDE: 1, 0, -8.59498, -6.7977, -1.84304, 8.72385, -6.7977, -1.84304, 8.72385, 6.6335, -1.84304, -8.59498, 6.6335, -1.84304, -1, -1, -1, -1, 68, 16777215, 1 And this is how the mirroring portal is set up: 1, 0, -8.78781, 3.79074, -1.56763, -8.78781, -1.08375, -1.56763, -8.78781, -1.08375, 1.77122, -8.78781, 3.79074, 1.77122, -1, -1, -1, -1, 68, 16777215, 1 0, 16777215, 1 68, 16777215, 1 0 means no special behaviour flags for the portal and 68 is the mirroring behaviour flag for the portal Don't forget that it is important that you flip the mirroring portal upside down or else you'll get a mirror that reflects everything under the interior/exterior you're assigning MLO for - in other words, make sure that the flipped face/normal is facing the upper(correct) direction of your floor Edited September 23, 2014 by GTARandom Frank.s and D T

//XP//
Have you thought about adding music to the interior? I think it'd be a nice finishing touch. Yes, but i don't know how to do that If you find out, you can put The Journey, to play, cuz, it would fit nicely Or, if you don't want a radio to play, you can put this to play: Ya know...for nostalgia.. If not any of these, you can just put any GTA song to play in it, as an audio, and an easter egg too. (even IV loading theme may be cool) Maybe you can reuse the code from the safehouse audio thing

EncryptedReality
I've tried to put music inside interiors with Majestic back in the good ol' IV:SA days and we've had no luck getting it to work, but i am curious to this day how it works, we found out that hex-editing the GAME.dat16 file for interiors' MLO's does have some effect, and that effect is that it removes the music from the interiors that the game usually plays It's quite complicated to be honest, but i do want to research this! Ps. placing a radio object in interiors has no effect at all, the radio is just in the interior but no music is playing from it! EDIT: I've found out how it works after having it researched for so damn long! I'll be posting a video for that too later... It's kind of funny that when i worked on IV:SA i researched it for days with no luck getting it to work and now i broke that mystery(sort of) in a matter of an hour or 2! nkjellman
I would have probably gone for something like IF99, The Journey is used in the internet cafes already. That, or LRR. By the way, what patch are you running in your game? If you plan on using EFLC Map Updates, it doesn't work on patch 4. I haven't tried it on patch 4, but people tell me that it isn't working, and it turns out that they are using patch 4. I'm not sure if it has to do with the object id limit being lower on patch 4 (not sure), or with it being optimized for the updated, but slightly buggier shader system on the new patches.
