X-Seti seems to be more of a Renderware GTA modder than RAGE GTA modder... so enough said about that imo because i don't want to mod Renderware GTA's

 

Anyway, i did some more texturing on Grand Central, tell me what you think about it:

Yea its true he prefers doing renderware over RAGE.. but he has gotten some progress on RAGE...

 

 

 

 

 

This one really picks my peas. the term HD is screen resolution. not model or texture related..

 

The term HD refers to the screen resolution only whether it be 720p/ those cheap HD Ready TVs at 800p, 2K (1080p) or 4K UHD (2160p) and 8K UHD (4320p)

The texture quality can differ between R games, GTAIV textures was better then GTAIII or VC. but there not as good as other next gen games out there.

 

However SA textures are better then GTA V low resolution crappy textures and if the Xb360/ps3 version of GTAV was ported to the VC engine with all the limits hacked the map would run well and better then Rage.

 

SOL;

 

Now. there are 2 versions of SOL as you know. and I do not want to be stuck in the 2002 era of computer modelling as the Renderware engine can do so much more then people think, the reason GTAIII/VC was modelled for how it is was because of FPS performance on mid range hardware of the time.

 

Rockstar upped hardware requirements for SA and more so for Rage but in time better maps can be made for that engine also and this is why I've decided to put more work into the map adding a higher polygon count.

 

Trilogy will always have the original models and however I might fix the odd Rockstar map bugs. this may only be on VC and SA. it's not worth dragging this version out.

 

The Infusions version is about remodelling everything for the SA and Rage engines pretty much from scratch, it's about keeping with the times as interest in this project has gone since half the modding community is working on Rage.

 

So I have to keep things interesting and alive and this is why I split the project tree into 2 projects.

 

Trilogy > VC engine > SA engine. I have one more update for this version before it's ported to SA.

 

Infusions > VC engine > I might leap the SA engine for now > Rage Engine.

 

It might be easier to port backwards from Rage to SA because we will have less map bugs. then trying to put from VC to SA where i've had a ton of bugs.

Obviously he has some experience with RAGE modding and he has expressed numerous times that he wants to release SOL on GTA IV...

 

So I wouldnt, count him out just yet ;)

So you're saying that when he puts SOL on IV, he's gonna have both the III era LC and the IV era LC? Like I said before, that seems to be a lot for him.

That would be dumb. 3D era and HD era maps should be separate.

 

Anyways back on topic. The textures are looking good. Though I think it would look better if the ticket booths and the pillars ran the length of the room and the stairs were the width, like the real Grand Central.

I hope that someone could remake VC,and, maybe make some new areas for SOL, like,some upstate, connecting LC, and, either another city or, what about a reimagining of III-era LC, but bigger and different?

ONTOPIC: The interior looks great! I have one question. Are you going to continue with the landscapes? A few pages ago, you said that you'll make some kind of a Staten Island, as it's the only NYC area that wasn't parodied in IV.

I don't know whether i'll be making landscapes in the future or not, i guess time will tell - no plans for it now though.

Looks good. I got some ideas.

1. The green garage door in the 1st screen. I'd make that a metal mesh type door. Kinda like what you see in a shopping mall when they are closing.

2. Make the windows slightly transparent, so in game you can see the exterior.

Somebody, in family, have a sister? She can record a announcement speech, by using microphone and then edit a sound.

Awesome! Thank you for the link. I have a question, in the video (2:15) there are construction workers standing on the road, have they been subsequently removed?

I know that it's annoying to have these construction peds around where the construction sites were but i still have not bothered to investigate where they are placed from

 

Right now i think it's in one of scenariopeds .dat files, though

I just tried it in those conditions. Unfortunately, no dice. It will probably require more changes than that.
