EncryptedReality
Well, MenuET's Boolean suggestion doesn't work properly for me or i don't understand it well... I detach the overlapping faces and the geoemtry does change but it doesn't turn into element(the interior overlapped part) so then i'm still left with the manual way of selecting and deleting polygons/faces which makes the Boolean useless! When i select edges by border, it selects edges that are inside the building and not really the "border" of it... on top of all that, it selects more edge loops above the bottom edge/border loop... Also, extruding the existing walls doesn't work properly for me either, i try to extrude them by local normal as i think i should, and some faces get extruded wrong(in different axis). What remains for me to do is either manually draw a spline around the whole building(also manually) and then turn that into a wall, or i can shift and drag the plane objects around the whole building(again, manually) - both of these methods are tedious and boring to death So, yeah, i was optimistic until now but now i'm beginning to get stumped on this, you, MenuET could try to explain it better to me in a PM or on Skype if you have it(if i understood it wrong by trying to follow what you said in the posts you made in this topic before). I sent you 2015 and 2012 versions' MAX scene files by PM Edited September 27, 2014 by GTARandom
//XP//
You should some screens with departure and flight infos. All airports have that. I did a texture that you could use for departures. If you want, I can make a different one for flights. Jestic

Ash_735
Ehhh, I'd say it requires a complete rework, good for a basis, but a lot of things are out of allignment, using low quality assets, etc. johnthedev, Jestic, theNGclan and 1 other
Jeansowaty
I actually got some ideas for interiors: -Jim Fitzgeralds apartment block (Acter)-Mervin Eskuchen's house (Berchem) -The projects in which Dwayne lives, there are two others with small interiors. AFAIK Skinheads have turf there, why not make one of them owned by them, with run down rooms and stuff?

Last I heard he was dead set on the airport Yep, he actually is working on the train station. That's news to me. I thought it was just another case of John putting words into other peoples mouths. My question is are the platforms and other parts of the station going to be accessible or will it just be the main concourse or lobby or whatever? I read that grand central had like 40 platforms or something

EncryptedReality
Hows the countryside layout? There's nothing i can share about that because i haven't been focused/worked on that since that release of that concept map of Adirondacks Mountains, i've been working on the new interiors instead. I have updated the OP with all the new relevant information and i can finally share the new development pictures from 3ds Max, so here they are: Grand Central/Easton Terminal Total poly count: 66487 Total Tris count: 71882 Francis International Airport Main Terminal The count of polys and tris for this interior is not relevant yet so i'm not going to bother telling you them as the development of this interior is still very WIP Big thanks to MenuET for helping out with the modeling of this FIA Main terminal because that fastened the development of these 2 major interiors in general and also a big thanks to him for his helpful tips! 247 Store fixes - added lights to the fridges, fixed glass on them and baked AO on all props inside this interior More new details about this mod can be found on the OP so i suggest you guys read it if you're interested. Since i've received 1 complaint about Google Drive downloading issue of too much traffic, i've uploaded the files to MODDB, check OP for that if you're interested as well Edited October 12, 2014 by GTARandom universetwisters, SaL_Leone, Tadzik and 11 others

nkjellman
I noticed that everything in your interior is rotated wrong. Everything that goes on the short end of the rectangle is on the long end and everything that goes on the long end is on the shorter ends of the rectangle. Also the tunnel leaving the lobby is supposed to have stairs going down below the balcony.

It was great you added some AO on the 24/7 props. Good you finished the FIA top part. Sorry for not finishing for you, was too busy preparing material libraries for Gostown (it's really BIG). It has a little drawback at the center back part of the FIA, which has a round window outside that was not properly projected inside. It can be easily solved by subdividing the mesh a little bit at this part. You can leave as it is, too
//XP//
Including an old clock in it will be hard work to do,but, it will make the Terminal look fancier Also, I'd like to add that The Alderney Museum would deserve an interior. You can put alot of easter eggs around there. And,in 2008, it was its 330'th anniversarry. If you want any ideas, you can put swords and mention Horatio Humboldt , that established the colony of New Rotterdam, in 1609 Edited October 13, 2014 by HazzardX
EncryptedReality
Thank you all for all the kind comments, i truly appreceate that and it gives me more strength to procceed with the development! I noticed that everything in your interior is rotated wrong. Everything that goes on the short end of the rectangle is on the long end and everything that goes on the long end is on the shorter ends of the rectangle. Also the tunnel leaving the lobby is supposed to have stairs going down below the balcony. Well, everything is oriented in the way to face the main entrance and not the side entrance that is connected by a secondary hallway, the one that leads to the right connects the Star Junction subway station that is unique to entire LC. I'm sorry but that is the way that this can work in GTA world without having to do major changes to the exterior object and move things around on it This is the picture i used for reference: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/7/73/Grand_Central_Station_Main_Concourse_Jan_2006.jpg (It's too big so i can't post it here) I also watched this video for reference and took some notes from that: On the back wall(where no details exist currently), i plan to add some lockers and some props, as well as some unique wall painting that is not on the real Grand Central's walls. Take wall painting part with a grant of salt though, it's just an idea i had to not dispose the back wall of lack of details there. I can't make it like the real Grand Central because back there is the MetLife building (or GetALife) as it is called in GTA world Edited October 13, 2014 by GTARandom //XP// and Jago
nkjellman
The Met Life building is there in the real NYC as well. It looks like the windows on the side the Met life building is on aren't actually windows, but mirrors. So looking at the picture you posted, pretend your standing at the exact spot in the image, facing the same way as in the image. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/7/73/Grand_Central_Station_Main_Concourse_Jan_2006.jpg -Going towards the left in the image is North, towards the Met Life/Get a Life building. -Going forward in the image is heading east in the direction of Brooklyn/Broker -Going towards the right in the image is going south. -Going behind in the image is heading towards New Jersey/Alderny, and where the trains are in GTA IV. So it goes like this. There is the length of the room, which have five windows/mirrors. It has: -The ticket booths -The escalators -The pillars (NOTE: The five windows is on the inside wall between the lobby and the waiting room. The windows in the waiting room match up with the three on the outside.) There is the width of the room, which has the three windows that are arched at the top. It has: -The two sets of stairs going that turn and meet up with a landing. Under the landing there are stairs going down to the trains. Basically what I'm saying is you got the features backwards. You have the length as the width, and the width as the length. Other than that, it is very well done and I can't wait to see this interior in game. Correcting this should help you get it to match up with the existing stuff in GTA's map. Edit: Here is a video from Spider Man 3 on Xbox 360 that should give you an idea as to how the interior should be positioned. (NOTE: He enters through the door on the west side. Obviously this would be adapted to GTA's exterior, so you would enter through the south side. Edit: Some floor plans. NOTE: It is from 1939. Judging by this, and looking more closely at images, there are waiting areas on south end of the lobby. A separate room if you will. The wall dividing the lobby and the waiting area has windows on it that line up with the outside windows. Here is a pic of the waiting room. The older pictures of it had benches running through out that looked like church pews, but the newer looking images don't have them so it looks like they were removed. The very reason why it wasn't fitting property is because you were missing the waiting room. Heck even I forgot about it, but if you look at it, you can tell where everything should be, and that it will fit nicely with the GTA exterior. Edit: Here is a panorama. hellya2011
Really awesome work on this mod! I'm so happy to see someone adding aditional interiros for GTAIV especially the Grand Central Station!! The 24/7 store is very nicely done aswell! Have you thought about adding that inteior to the 24/7 store that is a few blocks away from the helicopter pads in lower Alqonquin? just a thought... But i can't wait for the Grand Central Station and airport ones! Nice work!
EncryptedReality
I might make a copy of the current version of 24/7 store and make different windows for it and then just copy/paste that same thing into all other 24/7 stores that were meant to be in LC. That's just a possibility, no promises! Edited October 17, 2014 by GTARandom

Around where I live, the more out of town/city you go, the larger the supermarkets get so it would be great if one of the parts of the state had a big 24/7 supermarket complete with things like it's own gas station, big car park and other things that a supermarket would have Just an idea to keep in mind as I think that would be a pretty damn nice feature considering that Liberty City doesn't really have any big supermarkets around.
