Paleto Bay Appreciation Thread

Moved everything up to Paleto Bay a while back, for an extra couple of minutes drive its well worth it.

It is such a beautiful little town, and has all of the necessities! I have lived here for 2 years now, and run my MC businesses out here. My yacht is usually anchored off the coast as well, and I use it to travel to the city when necessary. Edited August 5, 2017 by Maxxi

I've owned properties in Paleto Bay with both characters back in my early days on PS3 and traded them in for garages in the city.

 

After a year of gameplay and making my fortune, I'm back.

I live in a somewhat rural area in real life, so PB has a lot of appeal. I store all of my off-road vehicles and hot rods up here.

I bought the "cute as a button" house with the 6 car garage in PB as a getaway from my Alta Way apartment.

I too store my off road vehicles and hot rods there. After seeing how conveniently it was located I set my spawn point there and haven't been back to the city other than to wreak FM havoc.

There's an Ammunation, clothing store, and Beekers all within a very short distance. Pegasus brings my Buzzard just down the street to the local LSPD station.

I do a lot of off roading and the location is simply the balls for that. The shoreline has great spots for rock crawling and the mountains are just across the highway.

If you're into the Snapmatic thing it's the best place on the map to move to.

I'd love to get together with other PB residents. We could have a parade with our hot rods or something fun like that. The only thing the town needs is a mini golf course and it would be 10/10.

I bought the flat drive one at first, loved the look but the building behind spoiled my views of Mt Chilliad and the road never had any life on it so I bought the two car garage one, didn't like having my cars "in storage" so I bought the third property.

PS4 for me. I'll bite. What's the Mayors Office?The Paleto Bay Mayor's Office is a crew that was born from posts in this very thread. We are much more quiet that we used to be, showing pur presence more socially than in game. We live in the Bay, we protect the Bay, and we die in the Bay. Most everything we do revolves around our little town.

The Mayors Office is life. How its supposed to be. The way R* ment for everyone to live. Friendly neighbours meeting up for a bbq in the yard or just having a blast on the beach. Or a hike up the mountain to watch the view, that breathtaking view of all the inferior places that exists outside of the Bay. One say that the ocean sprung from the cliffs outside Paleto, because nature was crying over how beautiful the town had turned out.

would you guys say paleto bay is still peaceful since the gun running dlc as it was in 2013 to early 2017?

I would say it's still nice and quiet, but you gotta keep an eye on that nearby bunker. It has added a little tension, but most of the time everything is cool as it was before.

I keep my yacht harbored in the bay and my main house is there 0232 Paleto Blvd. I enjoy having to make the commute to the city whenever I load in and want to do something there.

I really like PB - have beach house, biker bar, 2 mc biz there. Always good place end playlist with parachute job which takes me to PB so sell car plus decent chance seclusion. I hate it they put bunker there.

Keeping the riff-raff at bay is a public service I perform. If I'm on my yacht and someone is in town, they can bet that the eyes of the ranger are upon them

Theres a non enterable supermarket it up (name escapes me) but if you go into the parking lot,house to the right has chickens in the back. Have a snap of them just because.

 

Paleto is one of my favoritea. Sucks driving there but its a favorite. Would be nice to have an easier shortcut to sandy shores but whatever

Such a shame there isn't an Import/Export garage in Paleto Bay. I'd rarely go back to the city otherwise.

I like being able to spawn in my house, walk out and not find my PV a flaming wreckage, NPC's driving like maniacs mowing everyone down and at least one Avenger, a Hunter and multiple Deluxos and Oppressors obliterating everyone not in a Hydra.
