Independence Day DLC Ending | Double RP Weekend (1-3 Aug)

I'm level 90, so this will help me get a little higher. Although I'll only have a few hours at it as I'm off on my jollies for a week.

I would care a little more if it was double $, I already have 5.2 mil but I would like it if my friend could get all the masks. No one cares about RP anymore, most of us are over rank 100 anyway

Meh. RP is useless once you get past Rank 120. I'm holding out hope that maybe the next Update will have some nice high ranking perks such as missions, cars, or even an extra garage for any in the the ranks of 200 or above? Prolly not though..

Most likely new dlc will only open for higher ranks the 6x6 is a prime example. Maybe we will finally get a flamethrower. Or anti aircraft missiles.

 

Double rp event makes perfect sense in this regard. Ill rank up my second character. Sense my main is rank 306.

R* are just making the Events more and more pointless and providing far less benefit to players. It went from being 2 x RP and 2 x GTA$ to 2 x RP and 2 X GTA$ for playing Captures (then some bonuses for Gang attacks and Golf I forget about) to 2 X RP and 2 X GTA$ for playing the Independence Day Special Playlist to just 2 x RP...The natural progression seems we will get 2 x RP for a selected playlist in the future.

 

Granted it is for all activities R* know full well that GTA$ are an important part of having fun in the game and the fact they haven't made it 2 x GTA$ also is only since micro-transactions exist.

5000 IIRC. so jobs that pay 4300 like RR only add around 700RP. not "double" like R* claims.

If you play RR on hard, free aim and with a crew member, you get like 5200 normally, a 5K cap would be a reduction. That's not much incentive to play it.

I'll be playing Defender if the cap is in effect - close to the same payout as RR, easily completed and you don't waste any ammo. Plus you can simply return to the barn where the choppers are after you deal with the enemy choppers to start up another round quickly after the dude goes to the SS airstrip.

double RP weekends are pretty worthless IMO, however i appreciate there attempt to keep people playing and interested..I guess its better than nothing
