I'm already lvl 230. I stopped caring about RP when I ranked up to 120 in December.

As if double RP is really gonna help players afford the overpriced content from the Independence day DLC. Besides, most of us probably already have characters past rank 120 anyway. Both of them to be exact.

Can't really think of another reason for why they would only have double RP; this serves no benefit at all to a rather large portion of the community. Unless there's an upcoming update with things that are available based on RP. Mansions only available to 150+... one can hope!

It's great for me, I'm trying to rank up my second character. I'm trying to make enough money to buy 30 more vehicles in the process though so double cash would have been even better.

I really do think as someone else said in the thread it will be double RP on arm wrestling or some such nonsense.

All Jobs and other RP-gaining activities like Gang Attacks, Hold Ups, and Import/Export to name a few, will earn you double RP

Yes, I absolutely agree that it will benefit many people. I will be helping out one of my low level friends this weekend with good missions so he can finally rank up quicker. But the whole thing is that much of the community is being ignored with this event. I'm by no means complaining about just being RP - I'm just trying to understand the logic. You don't say farewell to a special update and remind people that this is their last chance to obtain these high priced items with an event that doesn't help you at all in obtaining these limited items.

 

I didn't buy the monster truck because I can't see myself spending 700k on that. Now if it were a double $$$ weekend also, I'd be buying all of the limited time items - no question.

 

Also, I believe double RP is for everything.

Unfortunately, no.

 

For (idk what levels+) with FA and playing with crew you get almost or around 6k rep.

 

AA with crew gets about 5.4/5.5.

 

Still not bad, but it's not "double RP"

I'm not necessarily expecting them soon or anything, and sorry for bringing up the 'H' word, but I wouldn't be surprised if heists are rank restricted. Like bigger heists require higher ranks. Just like the way new jobs and missions become available as you level up when you're starting out.

 

Might work in a similar way as jobs do now too, as in - you can 'host' your high level heist, but can still hire (invite) lower level minions :)

I wouldn't be surprised If this was the case. It's the same concept right now but with missions, as you said. A higher level player can host for other low level players and give them a chance to do the missions that pay well, as well as, give a nice amount of RP. :)

Meh. RP is useless once you get past Rank 120. I'm holding out hope that maybe the next Update will have some nice high ranking perks such as missions, cars, or even an extra garage for any in the the ranks of 200 or above? Prolly not though..
