Or, do you think the game will come out after the sony-r* agreement (2005? i think it ends) allowing the game to be on more then just a sony system? Im thinking that it could be done on ps2...maybe. superdino Posted December 30, 2002 Share Posted December 30, 2002 I have heard that in the agreement they have with Sony, there is going to be at least one more game released for the PS2, GTA Style. I don't think R* would wait that long to realease another GTA game, even if it was for a new system. It is possoble however, that when the agreement is up, R* makes a new agreement to be on the PS3 which is highly likely. Anyway, expect another GTA title for PS2 before 2005. Tenacious_Dude Posted December 31, 2002 Share Posted December 31, 2002 what r they gunna call ps2? they call the plastation ps1 now. will they call ps2 ps2.5? i hope no gmes go on ps3. 2006...ps3. ps2 cost like 500 bucks when it came out... with this u have to take in the inflation and if the ps3 is gunna be as good as people say it'll probably cost up to 1000 bucks. and the games would cost about 200 bucks as well. screw that. thats 1200 bucks for a ps3 and gta4 or gta5 or gta6 or whateva. and then u have to pay for the memory card.and the dvd remote. and a second controller if they bring in multiplayer. probably end up being about 2000 bucks all together. better off getting pc version... If the PS3 were released today, it would cost around $2000+, but in a few years, the technology used to make them will cost significantly less. Although many people would pay almost any price SONY asked for, I really don't see them asking anymore that $500 for the PS3, inflation or not. When the XBOX was released, its price was $500. But the cost to make each one was $700. MS too a loss of $200 for each unit sold because they new that asking for more than $500 would be a death blow for there system. Today, it only cost $150 to make each XBOX because the price of that technology has gone down. Most consoles are expensive when they first come out, For instance the NES originally cost $200, the Sega Saturn was $500, the SNES was $300, the N64 was $300 and the one's that did break the $500 mark just wouldn't sell (Turbo Graphics 16 $700, and NEO-GEO home system $900). By your logic (every 4 years stuff will double in price because of "inflation") than in the year 2021, a $1.50 bottle of pop will cost $413,439.88!! [2005]1.5x1.5= 2.25 [2009]2.25x2.25= 5.06 [2013]5.06x5.06= 25.69 [2017]25.69x25.69= 656.84 [2021]656.84x656.84= 413,439.88 By 2525 it will cost the average person $186,140,372,879.47 to buy a bottle of pop. $186 BILLION DOLLARS!!! The next GTA is asposed to come out in October(like all recent GTAs it seems annule now). Therefor unlless SONY wants to charge around 5000 dollers for the system because the tech its gona use is WAY beond todays and have it so full of bugs and slowdowns because it was rushed, THEN and only THEN it will come out on PS3. 6ixth.S3nse Posted January 22, 2003 Share Posted January 22, 2003 there was an article in the January Edition of PSM Magazine from the President Of R* North..he stated at one point in the article that once vice was done..they couldnt even fit one more texture on the disc...so it seems they cant make a game too much better then vice on the ps2...but we'll see...the interviewer also mentioned it was heard GTA4 will be set in Vegas 1970 and he answered with "Whats The Phrase?:I Cant Confirm or Deny your rumor's"...but it will most likely come out for ps2..either way cant wait Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I think they should switch it back to present day again and have the character from GTA3 and Tommy from Vice interact somehow. Maybe you could choose to be either character? drg Posted January 22, 2003 Share Posted January 22, 2003 It's obvious..... theres only been two 3D GTA Games..... that aint enough yet so Sony are gonna keep cashin in on the GTA3D series until about the fifth when it becomes like what tomb raider is now...... crap - i used to love it! So if they can pull off a game like Vice City in the time they did if they start it a bit earlier.... like NOW! maybe we'd have it late November in time for Xmas with some new weapons a few more vehicles like Peddle Bikes, multiplayer, being able to climb up buildings into rooms...... ahhhh how much fun is it thinking of new stuff that could be on future games????
