I have a couple more.

 

0.62 Fnord Corner

Made to try out a hard to signal corner a crewmate used.

Semi technical street race around the greens and hospital near LSC. It has a crossover that will be a crash fest with contact on, had to switch the hairpin approach to get the distance. Previously went thru the hospital but that was worse... I think I forgot to default it to off....

 

 

Muscle Atrophy 0.62

Trying out a section of road I'd used before, this one turned out to be a demo derby. It's pretty destructive with contact off tbh. Some sketchy dirt turns and gradients. A really tight uphill turn that actually becomes a pile up, muscle cars can't quite make it once they've crashed and they can't turn round, it's also a respawn point for... a big jump that lands you into a head on section with cars that are a half lap behind.

So yeah, it's ridiculous. I expected a lot of dislikes on the 1st run, all but 1 actually thumb upped, which surprised me, lol.

I might add rockets and turn it into a GTA race for complete carnage.

The Goat 0.62

Short and fast, yet tricky lap race in Vinewood around Gentry Manor. Suitable for all vehicles.

 

Don't worry about why I call some 8 tracks DD's and some not. Some I feel are more suited to a DD but can be run as a proper race track too, it all depends on the players and the vehicle choices. I don't actually have any criteria, other than my races with crossover jumps - they will always be labelled as DD's.

Technical short track in La Puerta with a nice fast section.

 

The Fish is very tight. I also need a new image for it - I couldn't find any pictures of a fish apart from the numerous sharks dotted around. Has anyone else spotted a fish image? Or a fish/bait shop? That guy fishing in Lago Zancudo must buy his bait and tackle somewhere, no?

Never make a race for poor sports. F/ them. Tbh I didn't really like the hotdog stand there, as it did stick out as I've never seen a hotdog stand in a position like that. So I'd truly give it a try as I have to say I disliked most props when I started creating but they can be of better use than a CP sometimes. So don't go witch 'no propping' but only with 'useful or guiding props'. And for this some guiding might be needed. However this was just a suggestion, as the track does work as it stands.

I wouldn't say I was making the race for poor sports. I was considering whether that area needed propping just for guidance, and then the fact that the propping would deter cheap shots tipped the scales. :-)

 

For the moment I am going with no propping. I've republished after deleting what props were present, and won't have opportunity to work on it again before next week at the earliest. When I get back to it I'll look into propping it, as I agree this is a course that could benefit from extra visual guidance beyond the checkpoints.

 

Okay I came back to this and attempted propping. I used medium concrete barriers because there were already some in the area. I'd still like to avoid using props that don't fit in with the "natural" terrain.

 

The bend around the pile meets up with some of the concrete barriers already present, which is why it's irregular there.

 

In addition to the two bends you recommended, I also placed one to replace the props I previously removed.

 

I've got no practice at propping, so I probably did a sh*t job of it. Constructive criticism appreciated.

Great title and description! Why not set to gta? For the driveby? Forgot = forget, of grove street = in grove street? No drift in the grove?? Didn't wave at CJ man. Why not make a 180 at the O of grove street? Just shorten the 180 at cp 6? Meh felt like taking candy away from a kid.
0.62 Fnord Corner
Great man. Liked that a lot. Good finish and perfect cp's. Nice. Would like that with rain. My U62 track is in that same turn mess. By the way, wanted to ask you for a while now, but how do you get the tyres fit so nicely around the lanterns?

Fantastic t-bone track. Reminded me of my O'neill brothers t-bone track.
Propping could be way better though. Would go for a combination with boxes? And some construction stuff maybe.

Cp 4 can go, cp 2 maybe too, not sure. That's awesome. Love that lane shift towards the first corner. Finish line is not one of your better creations. Loved that track though. Adding
The Dragon
To be really honest I'm really sad this isn't my own creation. Fantastic title+description+picture+track combo!! One of the best I've seen actually.
I would love to go wild on this one, but will need your permission to do so. Too bad there is no way to have multiple creators in one race. Anyhow these are my suggestions:
- Maybe lock to zentorno as it sounds and looks like a dragon? Reptile anyway. You can still leave sports open.
- Cp6 can go, cp 8 too. Can 4 go? Not sure.
- Felt no need for the finish props here, the traffic plates disturb it I guess.
- Would use all the props to fit the theme. Like that tooth: Would fill that whole triangle with the fat white barrier from the construction tab. And the tail: Both small walls (left and right) full of the small arrows so it looks like a scaled tail (don't know if this is the right translation)
Whatever you do, I'm definately adding this one.

The Meerkat Ring
Don't know about that chicane,... Cp's should be reorganized there I guess. Though you learn your lesson after the first lap. Got to love the easy mastering of a 62 track. That finish line works better in the city, on the outskirts this feels misplaced imo.
Vinewood Hills 62
Finish would be better at cp 3? or 5? Nice track + vehicle lock! Good cp's and would set traffic off if you block the roads wit tyre lines. Ok props.

It's funny as I tried the first version again with 10 people or so (and even works as a standard race) but then saw on sc you made an update (between both I recreated it my own way), so now your new version is way better, but some small notes you might pay attention to:

- the corner right past cp 1 has this hook that slams people.

- the construction fences to protect the 'falling of the tail' parts are unnecessary, only bad drivers will fail there.

- I love your tooth way more than how I tried it (failed), though the tail works better in my version imo.

- the arrow sign right before the finish has no use?

- The cp's are perfect now, though I did pull cp 5 a little back before that turn in the tail.

 

Let me know when you did race it, as I will delete it. But my words can't stand for the actual image the recreation gives.

And again. I'm jealous that I'm not the creator.

Keep it as a tribute race dude, no need to delete it. Yeah, I'll lose the blue fences, i think the explosive barrels there is a better solution anyway. I now see what you mean with the chevrons, I'll have an actual look at this (your version) tomorrow.

 

I also updated Ring of Fire. Flows much nicer now imo, so thanks for the feedback. I'll have a look at the rest when I get time.

I deleted CP 1 and 7, and moved 9 up a bit. May go back and remove what used to be CP 12 at some point, but left it alone for now.

Hey Stronk, glad you enjoyed. Muscle Atrophy is quite fun solo but with a large lobby its a completely different animal, lol.

Tyres round lights, simple! Go in car view and smash it down, park on the base to stop it respawning then switch to sky cam and place the stack on it. Works for placing barriers real close to small signs too. There's the odd base here and there that is too tall bit theyre quite rare.

Have another one that I made tonight once I could get back on PSN.

 

This is my first real attempt at making a more GP-style track in GTA, Normally, I don't go for this sort of thing, because if I wanted to race on a circuit I'd go play Gran Turismo, and I enjoy the mayhem of weaving through traffic at high speed. Having said that, I found a layout that I absolutely adore but it was appalling to run it with traffic on, and I didn't want to let it go.

 

I have it set to motorcycles only, leaving out bikes like the Bagger, Daemon, Thrust, etc that aren't really "sport" bikes.

I have 3 more...

 

Gradiential 0.62

Up and down, round and about. Tight and compact short track.

Based in the narrow, bumpy Rockford Hills roads, near the golf course. Defaulted to compacts and as you'd imagine, pretty up and down.

 

Muscle Relaxant 0.62

Smooth, smooth... dirt, jump, aaarrrgh!

Yep, another slightly zany muscle race, tho you can maybe run off roads on it for an easier (less amusing) experience. Actually not that crazy, it'a a simple loop with a difficult jump over a narrow gorge, leading to lots of downhill tumbles. Kind of loosely themed around um... laxative experiences.

 

Burton Looper 0.62

Loops round Burton for 0.62 miles... of course. Don't let it drive you loopy.

As it says on the tin. What it doesn't say is that there's a shared bit of road, with drivers on different parts of the lap merging and separating on slightly different lines. Defaulted to Coupe, just because.

Finish line is too much at the corner but not seeing a better position anyway. Absolutely love that track/+concept!! Just delete some of those cp's? Adding if cp's are deleted!!

 

 

 

Sorry it's taken a while to respond, lots going on at the moment. Thanks for the feedback, yeah, I've since removed several pointless CP's - Most of the ones you listed.

 

Some CP's still exist that I may not have included if they were on a longer circuit, but they serve to just barely push the lap length over the 0,62 margain, and also to make the previous CP's point the way I desire them to.

 

Re: that prop... Yeah, the road surface is funny there and I can't get it to sit flat.

 

I've got a more fruity description now too. The previous one was more or less a placeholder.

Hey Stronk. Really liked U62 last night, good technical track and felt longer than it was, I was flying on it... Till I missed CP3 on the last lap. I did see Kelly miss it too. Not sure it needs attention since it didn't trouble me on the 4 previous laps. Corner cutting was the problem, for which you can probably blame the driver. If anything, a prop on the inside would do but anyway, like I said.

Great scope for .62s round that collection of roads. I was thinking about trying a couple more there and having a real explore of the possibilities. I have a longer track that uses most of them and crosses itself a bunch of times, it inspired the loop one of mine you tried last night. Will have to show you it sometime, I really like it.

Lucky Plucker was a good track Deej. Mostly 90s on the turns but good variety.

 

Roger(s) Ring was really cool tho. Nice to get a fast one of these races and there was enough trickiness to it for it to be a challenge chasing lap times. Dunno what the deal is with that CP. You said pull it back a bit. I guess yeah, but it's not as if I couldn't judge the corner after half a dozen laps. Think it's just a difficult corner but we'll see when you move it. I was trying to be clever with it and take a really wide approach, most people I saw weren't doing that. Made my braking a bit harder to judge as you can't actually see the line you're braking for. Think I managed it once.

Yeah Stronk, kinda annoyed that i missed your track last night. We'd run a few of each others tracks and I jumped off for a cig and a quick 5 minute fiddle in creator, and was gutted when I seen comments about it in chat. Does it play similar to the looper one that Cuz made? Looks a similar layout. Be sure to host it again when we're next on mate.

 

Yeah Cuz, Lucky Plucker is kinda constant squirt n turn, nice flow I think though.

I could name it Roger's Ring. I like the fnarr fnarr of Rogering though, I guess I could portmanteau it, but I want people to make that joke in their head. I dunno. It's only a name. ;)

 

62 would be a good number to end on, but it's a waste of 2 slots on the 4 playlists. I may make 128 ;o)

Neither of those are the one I mentioned as it isn't a .62, which is why I didn't link it. The Burton Bamboozler contains most corners from our .62s in that area but at 1.21m, it doesn't belong here.

Prefer Burton Looper to Fnord Corner myself, there's a couple poles on the latter that really piss me off.

CP4 can possibly go, yeah. Might be there because the tree line obscures 5.

May be able to move the start to a corner. If it requires me to make a small grid then I won't bother, too late for that.

I appreciate the Organ Farm part will be commonly used, and there's loads of Los Santos GP's etc, but the 0.62 distance is quite a niche creator market I think, and having 2 the same from the same thread could be confusing.
