I WANT to own the Dukes but R* just can't let that happen.

Here's a scary thought. Every DLC car from previous game has been changed for better or worse.

 

But there is still a strong chance that this will remain the same car that it is should it ever be added.

 

In an in game advert the Dukes is seen performing a stunt so it's in the game just not driveable so if they changed it's body it just wouldn't be logical not to mention the amount of hate mail and abuse R* would get if they changed it in the first place.

Just pointing out that the Coquette, Buccaneer, Bobcat and Regina you listed were very different in GTA IV.

 

Also, the Cognoscenti, Feltzer, Sultan and Rancher while remaining the same model, they had different concept models.

 

The Schafter was a completely different model as well in GTA IV as opposed to TBoGT.

I wouldn't count on it being in the game currently. Much of the in-game movie and TV is shot in GTA IV and alpha/beta builds of GTA V when they shared much more assets. However it is true that it wouldn't take much to port exact data to GTA V. They run the same engine so all they would have to do is have a few programmers update the stats to the new driving system and a few artists update the visuals and add customization options. Exactly as they did with every vehicle in this poll. Edited by BondageKitty

Exactly. I don't see why R* want to change the way cars look in the first place, Granted they want in game cars to look more modern but a lot of modern cars look worse compared to their older counterparts. The Dukes can't really be changed anyway since the new Charger is already in the game (Buffalo and Buffalo S). The one thing I can't get passed is that they change cars for the worst when they damn well know they looked better before Turismo and Jester (Even if it was in 3D era it would look great in updated graphics) come to mind.

 

Part of R* is American so why wouldn't they want to give us back the car that IRL made history in 60's and 70's American racing. As I stated before if they changed the Dukes R* would get tons of hate mail and abuse I'm pretty sure they got enough of that when they gave us the 'new Turismo'.

 

If you don't know in the 3D era the Jester was solely based on the Toyota Supra MKIV which just happens to be my favorite car so you can guess that I gave my share of hate to R* ;) when they changed the Jester to the way it is now (2015 Acura NSX concept) which I don't hate but I would prefer and older NSX.

Have you turned over a new leaf in terms of the way you customize your cars because right now my retinas seem to be 100% intact.
