Quintin Vance Posted December 30, 2002 Share Posted December 30, 2002 Okay....you know how you walkinto the northpoint mall and your screen turns black and it says " Northpoint mal" ....and it loads you into the mall......well i was thinking that in PS3 wene Gta 6 or whatever comes out they would make expansions so you could load Vice city Libery City and whatever else and wene you walk into the airport the same load sequence occurs and you can pick if you want to go to liberty or vice....or whatever you want....but of cours it would cost you money to fly back and forth between VC and LC.....i thought this would be cool...what do you think about it?...be cool to see vice in the 90s or 2000s....and see liberty in the 80s wene sonny was the boss. chargr67 Posted December 31, 2002 Share Posted December 31, 2002 the PS3 is gonna use 'blue ray" technoagy (basicly the lazer is blue instead of red). a DVD holds 4.06 gigs of space the new disc for the PS3 will hold 38 gigs!! .. ok think of this.. think of how big Vice and Liberty is.. and thats 4 gigs. think of how big the next city will be if they have 38 gigs to work with.. $hit my hard drive 30 gigs!! . u also have to add in new graphic's taking up more space and whatnot but that is still HELLA space. lets just hope they use every last bit of.. we might actully get lost in the city! (then 9.12 gigs of space)...also, i heard that the blu-ray discs would have 19 gigs per layer... so the 38 gig disc you speak of would have to be dual layered...and ps3 in 2004? no, sony said ps3 would be released a year before Xbox2 (like ps2 was to Xbox), which comes out in 2006. _-_nosferatu_-_ Posted December 31, 2002 Share Posted December 31, 2002 I had the same idea in a past thread in this forum dated 27/12/2002- Entitled "my ideas for gta4" My idea was they should release a twin set with vice city and liberty city, u can start on any disk, they r both set in the same time (present) and you should be able to go to the airport and pay money to fly from one city to another, and while u r on the plane you have to change disks. The games on the 4 gig disks r good enough and 38 will cost too much to reproduce and the retail price from it would be ennormous. Then on ps3 they can make a new gta game (GTA5) with an updated liberty, vice, san & sin, and include a whole new city: carser city (LA).
