So I ordered Chinese food last night, and the delivery guy told me DLC is coming Tuesday. He seemed pretty legit.

Ok...so this is my "speculation":

 

With the recent leak of tshirts online that nod to Radio stations of GTA past AND the recent release of player created jobs that pay tribute to past GTA missions AND with some interesting coding (apparently) being found that points to the possible release of the Hydra, I'm thinking it's very plausible that we'll be getting a "Throwback GTA" DLC.

It'd be pretty cool to get some vehicles from older games (more bikes, fan demanded cars) and clothes like Vercetti's Hawaiian shirt or CJ's green rags or Claude's leather jacket. That would also explain the radio shirts as well. Plus, we just got missions from users that pay homage to other GTAs, so why not a few Rockstar created as well. And, packs of new missions usually pertain to a past DLC such as Beach Bum or Hipster, so releasing this pack is supposed to hype you up and make you nostalgic for older GTAs and then BAM! You get a Throwback Update.

What do you guys think?

If it sounds lazy and boring its definately a possible dlc. I will not like it if you are right.

Glad to see I'm not the only one with this feeling. They said that the Independence stuff would end mid-July, then it slowly dragged into late July. As this coming Tuesday is the last of July, I find it plausible that the next update will happen sooner rather than later. But then again, there's no telling what Rockstar will do when it comes to updates.

Yet another example of the poor customer service coming out of R* HQ lately. They delay Heists after an officially announced release period (RE: "Coming this Spring to GTA Online") and we were supposedly staying tuned for more information on future Updates VERY SOON and an end date for the latest DLC content.

 

Mid-July has actually become Late-July (R* actually tweeted this was a deliberate shift in time) without an announcement on the Newswire. It is practically the end of July now, so unless an Update comes out this Tuesday and the DLC Content vanishes in only 2 days time after that, Mid-July has become Early-August.

 

They wonder why there is strong opposition to Cash Cards when this lapse in content removal time basically means people have had double the time to earn in game money to purchase the DLC content. Anyone who purchased a Shark Card to acquire the Independence Day Content really should complain to R*. If this was anything but the gaming industry, most companies would not get away with such a thing...

Wow. This is the most plausible speculation I've read. You've made real, true connections instead of "DOMISLIVE LEAKED CODE YES DLC HIST".

Radio station t-shirts were part of hipster dlc but only way to get them was playing GTA hipster event playlist.

Not for gearheads tbh. The hipster update was a huge gift to car enthusiasts, and the Indenepence day gave us a bloody Monster Truck.

 

If this throwback DLC comes true and it could finally include everyone's wishes for a Ferrari Testarossa, many, many people will lose their sh*t.

Not for gearheads tbh. The hipster update was a huge gift to car enthusiasts, and the Indenepence day gave us a bloody Monster Truck.

 

If this throwback DLC comes true and it could finally include everyone's wishes for a Ferrari Testarossa, many, many people will lose their sh*t.

 

Even though I am one myself, not everyone who plays GTA is a car enthusiast and wants a bloody monster truck....

FFS I can't connect to anything right now. I'm online but every time I try to join jobs/races it says the servers are down.

 

Update will most likely be two weeks from tomorrow, they need to get rid of this Independance day crap. :(
