From experience giving dates does not help in video games, especially if the content

does not then come out as planned.

 

I'd much rather Rockstar say nothing than give dates and then have everyone moan

about no new content.

 

For as annoyed and pissed everyone is at R* right now, it should be noted the independence day dlc came unexpectedly and was a very pleasant surprise...

Yeah, considering R* did imply an update would be in order in less that a week over a week ago. So they clearly missed their deadline.

It wouldn't be outrageous to think R* might release the DLC later this week after the "kinks" are worked out. Although rare, they have released on a day other than Tuesday in the past. I think next Tuesday is more likely but it's not out of the realm of possibility for it to be this week.

It's kind of stupid actually. Marketers tend to release music, DVD's, games and other related content on Tuesday's because they feel consumers are more likely to make a purchase on this day. It has to do with consumers using money on the weekends and their recovery from it into the start of the week. With GTA, however, you're not really purchasing anything, so it's more of a traditional date to release DLC on Tues. You may be right. I could see them releasing something on a Thursday, possibly.

I'm giving him a hard time just for the lolz but in reality for kids they are good at what they do and have provided legit leaks in the past. I believe the kid. The date of the next dlc came straight from the dev so rockstar must of changed it. Who knows.
