Better characters that I can name on the top of my head:

Bernie Crane, Darko Brevic, Vlad, Mikhail Faustin, Manny Escuala, U.L. PAPER CONTACT, little Jacob, Evan, Gracie Ancellotti, Jimmy Pegorino, Johnny Klebitz, Niko Bellic, Luis Lopez, Rocco, Michelle, Packi, Gerry, St. Micheal, Real Badman, Dimitri Rascolov( rot in hell), that's it so far.

IV has hotter female peds than V, who's with me?

IV has really hot female characters, such as Alexandra Chilton and Michelle. The only GTA V character I can find hot is Amanda. Many people prefer Tracey, but she just looks like a genetic experiment gone wrong... dawg.

Not really, LS gals look better than the one in LC, same with whores. However:

Michelle and Mallorie >>>> Amanda and Tracey

EDIT: Wow, this a bad post even for my standards.

the crouch mode was actually IV's stealth mode. if you crouch then your footsteps are more quiet and NPCs can't hear you. it was even used in the mission Shadow.

crouch mode > V's broken-ass stealth mode

The thing I don't get is R* already had a good stealth system used in the Manhunt games that was actually useful. Why didn't they use that as a base if they didn't want to use crouching?

Where was it used in that mission? Can´t remember the game telling the player to crouch. You just have to keep a sufficient distance and walk normally. You can even sprint, if you´re not too close to the dealer you´re following.

the crouch mode isn't IV's stealth mode? i thought it was, because your footsteps are quieter.

Random parts on traffic cars. Seeing two Ruiners side by side and noticing one has a little cowl scoop that's off to the side and then seeing another Ruiner but with no hood scoop is something you don't see in V's traffic, but for some reason was in a game that came out 5 years prior.

I know V has these "pre-made" custom cars with LS Customs parts...but it's annoying when you've seen that blue Rhapsody with the bug catcher and the Ruiner wheels that you could have sworn you blew up a few weeks back...

Replayability is much more better in IV. I have lost count of the many times I restarted the game in order to go through the storyline again.

the cutscenes

Gta IV had cinematic cutscenes that made you feel like you were watching a movie. great camera angles with beautiful depth of field. GTA V had a very strange handheld style and very lazy camera placement. its like they just placed it down shot reverse shot and threw in a couple of zooms and camera shakes but gta 4 actually had complex camera movement like in movies, it had slow dolly's, dutch angles, extreme close ups and tilts.

gta v looks like either a low budget tv movie or a bad reality tv show

Everytime I start a new game of GTA IV it feels like a fresh experience again. Coming to think about whilst I didn't mind the idea of a prologue mission in GTA V on repeated playthroughs it just doesn't hold up well at all.

In fact I really don't like how GTA V feels like a movie that starts about a 1/4 of the way through. Niko arriving in Liberty City feels like the start of an epic journey every single time. It's fantastic.:)

Honestly, both GTA IV and V is non-canon in ways, seeming how there are multiple endings, and moralic choices

We all pick and choose our headcanons. As long as you don't become too invested in them, ignore the reality and therefore become unreceptive, by default, to anything the creators offer instead in the future (let's say they'd make a sequel starring Michael Klebitz, that you'd hate just because it builds on Johnny's death in V - even if it was an actually good story), I don't think there is anything wrong with ignoring the events of V in your personal timeline.

Police Officers aren't like bald Cancer patients.

Lol, there's nothing wrong being a bald cancer patient, take Walter White - one of the most badass characters ever seen in a TV series

GTA V felt like it was made by a different developer, didn't feel like a GTA game at all.

Hmm, not quite. GTA V feels like it was made by the same developer who gave us GTA SA. A step back from GTA IV. Thats what it feels like to me anyways

Niko is a much more likable protagonist. Niko > Michael, Trevor and Franklin.

He is proof that you don't need to be a retiree, a methhead, or a whiny gangbanger that irons clothes to be "badass".

He also doesn't need some random special ability without explanation.

All hail the kind N.B.

Niko has a superpower, no normal man could understand Little Jacob, no one.

I can't even understand him with subtitles.

OT: Getting drunk is better in IV, V is stupid with that lame "underwater" effect. In IV the camera shakes and is hazy, it actually makes you want to throw up.

I was literally just about to write this! You beat me by 15 minutes.

Also, better and more varied music in strip clubs. In fact, strip clubs PLURAL ftw.

I guess it's hard to replicate the feeling of being drunk in a video game, but I've always described GTA V's like feeling like you're swimming under water. It also ends too quickly and you can't have drunk induced cop chases.
