Will BAWSAQ ever be available in GTA Online?

I doubt this will ever be implemented. If it is, the only way to make it work is to make it random. Stocks just go up and down by themselves, without player influence.

R* has bigger fish to fry before it tackles BAWSAQ

 

They need to learn to walk before they can run

It's also going to be hard to justify opening it, without having any kind of means of seeing what's going on around the stock market. Market fluctuation and all that rich money jibberish. (That's jibberish to the working man for a reason!)

 

So they have way too much ground work to lay out, while people are STILL selling their Adders at LSC for 170K a pop using glitches ad infinitum.

If they implement BAWSAQ they might as well boost mission rewards as well, because people are just going to figure out how to rig the system to get rich.

I mean, look at single player BAWSAQ. Just last week I was able to max out my money by putting about 5 million into Whiz when it went into the negatives.

 

That being said, they should have figured out a way to just have it never show up in the internet instead of just leaving it "under maintenance" all the time.

OT: as others have said, it would we be the cause of some of the most severe exploitation yet; a glitch that would directly impact money. And at any rate, I doubt R* would do and/or say anything about this before releasing heists. It may be on the web browser, but I haven't read anything from them talking about its launch.

The current gen systems can't handle the complexity of an online stock market. Oh no, only the PS4, Xbox One and PC can do that.

LOL. I don't think that's what he was implying. If it has anything to do with "nex gen" at all (which I doubt) it will be because they will use that feature as a selling point to buy GTAV over again for the PS4, XB1 and PC.

 

Not because it "can't handle it" :D I find that hilarious.

It was never going to be viable for a game that uses the microtransaction model. I'm not saying they didn't, but has anyone actually got any proof they said it was going to included in Online?

 

People making money from money would be directly counterproductive to their economic interests. The only possible way I could see it being viable is if it was instanced on every server and specific to player actions within that, which I imagine would be hugely resource intensive (and given all the freezing and sessions dropping out, would be annoying as hell in practice).
