BIB is up in the air. I love the concept and idea but I just can't really come up with any motivation or influence for the story. I have watched Goodfellas, Reservoir Dogs and other gangster movies of that time period but it is still kind of hard to write for that era considering it was 10 years before I was even bored. So I decided to put it on hold for a while.

SSB, don't put too much thought onto not having the map to start with. From where I'm standing it looks like you're going to have a ton of content to start out with, and that's great to see. Hope you manage to get it posted this weekend man.

Yeah SSB you have more content than I currently have in my Vicio Imperia concept so you will be fine without a map and could just add it later.

 

Added another mission to Vicio Imperia. I'm also going to add some more content to the Diversions section and possibly some more Gameplay and Local media information as well. I am going to hold off on the cars and I'm just going to post the new cars that were added to VI and weren't in V.

The title is Grand Theft Auto: Gray Valley. It's a state comprised of Speedway (Indianapolis), Midway (Chicago), and Carcer City (Detroit) with surrounding countryside, entitled Surge County.

I'm not sure about it fitting on my timeline. Our versions of Carcer City are completely different.

 

Also I've been considering this for a long time... under the name Honorable Mentions, I'd make lists for concept thread such as Top Protagonists, Top Antagonists, Top Stories, Top Anti-Heroes etc... Like watchmojo's list for movies and TV shows. Although this may not be long-lived, I think it could be fun. Also, I'd consider working with a partner, so there'd be rightfull fair and there'd be someone to put my concepts into consideration as well.

Now that would be interesting.

Well there are many concepts I've excluded from my timeline because of how some of them have extremely different depictions of locations. Take your depiction of Vice City vs Severe's, or my Carcer City compared to Pooyan's.

 

Despite this, I do think that fanon timelines are fascinating and can be pretty creative.

Yes, maybe separate timelines for III Era and HD Era would make better. And SOTEOF invades a long time period from 1990 to 1991. The story finishes closely to the beginning of San Andreas (1992). I'm even considering to writing a kind of "Aftermath" passage (like SA's "Introduction"), that may clear some sticky connections between SA and SOTEOF in a considerable amount, after SOTEOF's story hopefully comes to an end.

If any stories are worthy of prequels and aftermaths, it's SOTEOF and Carcer City.

 

Obsydian's got his whole trilogy and lead in to Manhunt thing going on. Unholy's got characters with so many layers it would be a shame not to peel them all off. Make it happen guys.

Rather than putting them in competition, I'll just write them without an competitive order, and why I want somebody else working with me is not making people think I'm giving my own content a piece in Honorable Mentions, making them believe I'm not satisfying my own lust. I've a bit names to be honorably mention besides my own content. I think it's better to wait until some stories become more stiff, so I can dig over protagonists, antagonists, anti-heroes (and it may be updated depending on the progress of the concepts).

I don't know. I've started to write "Top Protagonists", but I think I'll post it later. I think the first one will be about "Nostalgic Concept Threads", would include concepts like Blood and A Four Leaf Clover, The Code of The Streets etc.

 

Also I think it will redo the topic of SOTEOF, because of me being a victim of changed forum (the thing is I've had to stick all things in one post). Do locked topics deleted after a time, or they remain forever? If they're gonna disappear, I will need to carry all 13 chapters into the new topic.(Although I think that's no such thing, I want to be sure)

Seriously, it took me an age longer to get my Vice thread out with juggling the likes of school and stuff and I can honestly say getting the piece of paper was worth more to me than clicking start new topic, so let me extend that luck to your studies as well as your concept.

 

At least we all can ensure you get back on Tuesday to a bunch of replies.

Post them in your concept man. Wiki's a great format but it's hard to follow. Plus the more updates you make here the more visible your thread will be.

As far as I know locked topics are never deleted here. There are some that date back to 2002 around the boards.

 

After 30 days without a post the thread will stop appearing in the active topics list, but that's about it.

 

I haven't had any problems loading your topic like I have mine or Obsydian's but I think you're right. With all the content you have it's worth reserving 2 (or 20) posts.

 

Also if I were you, I would also post each chapter so far into your new topic rather than link back to them in the old one.

 

Call this dirty tricks but once you make the thread just keep posting the chapters every twenty minutes or so. Your topic will be on top of the page all day and you'll probably attract a whole new crowd of readers. Henceforth, we should have a subforum for the concepts. Will it slow down traffic? Sure, but it'll also be a lot better than having to compete with the X v. Y threads.
