Finally getting somewhere with GTA VI!!! (cheap title I know, but I don't particularly like cheesing subtitles either) Phil's now working for the Carcer mob, finally gotten through the slog of wild rides and cheap thrills, now time to slow down the pace a little and take more cues from Scorsese and less from Tarantino!

 

Will people still be interested in the concept if its pretty much posting character details and images then putting up missions? To me, fancy graphics are plastic tits on a bull, they may look good, but all they do is grab the attention of the reader like a damn picture book, I figure if my writing cant grab the reader's attention, I've gotta be a pretty sh*t writer!

In the Midway portion of Gray Valley, there's a street racing contact who opens up that line of business for Kyle and Raymond. Perhaps we could exchange characters or concepts of the street racing.

It was uninspired. I don't see "new GTA Online expansion" when I look at it, unlike when I look at the "American Dream DLC" concept. When I look at it, all I see is GTA IV. There's nothing new. To improve it, I'd add new weapons and vehicles, obviously, but I'd also add more locations. Surely there are newer and possibly more attractions now than there were in 2008.

I've come up with the basic story outline for Lonestar, which is subject

to change. The story is split into four parts, just like Carcer City was. So far this is what I have for Act 1.

 

 

Jack is called to meet up with his cousin, Alejandro Sierra, a Mexican drug lord. Upon meeting him, Alejandro's men brutally beat Jack and leave him in the middle of the desert, hoping for him to die from heat and thirst. Luckily he is picked up by Jeremiah Addison, who lets Jack stay with him and his family at their home in the town of Redbrook, located in the woodlands of East Lonestar. Jeremiah and his family are being harassed by the Klu Klux Klan-like organization called the White Knights Brotherhood, who harass the Addison family due to them being African American. Jack decides to stay for a while to fight the White Knights and stop them from terrorizing the Addisons, all the while working for the local Rural Mobsters throughout the region.

Wanted to do a concept set in Paleto Bay where the main character is a stay-at-home dad looking for action down south.

I usually read the entire concept. Of course, it depends how interesting it is.

I usually read the entire concept. Of course, it depends how interesting it is.

I'm with this guy, story and characters come first, weapons and vehicles tied for second and then location comes third, dependent on if the concept is set in an already established city or a new location; if there's a game set HD era Liberty City then you know, cool, but location isn't too important. I find gameplay can be described in the first few missions, reintroducing walking, running, driving etc and then more focus on extra gameplay features can be explained during tutorials in later mission posts. Radio stations are meh, personally I think they're a bit much effort for very little payoff, I do however like the idea of incidental songs; music playing in the background of cutscenes or during certain gameplay moments to add to the ambiance.

I have had no motivation to work on any of the "other" Gray Valley stuff. I'd rather write missions, but I want to get all of that done first. Other than that, I haven't had a ton of time to sit down and work on Gray Valley. Due to my heavy involvement in theatre, and my role as a main character in our winter show, I don't get home 'till way late.

 

However, I have had thoughts of making a DLC concept. I know that I used to despise them, but that was when it seemed that the entire concept section was being flooded with them. So, I might start working on one of them sometime.
