How much ammo do you guys keep?

I only have some ammo Full on the guns that I will use on others. The other stuff I really don't care about using.

I always keep full ammo--you never know when you're gonna need 20 RPGs, 25 grenades and stickys (stickies?), 20 GL rounds, and about 4500 lbs of bullets.

 

I have actually had sessions where I expended over half of my "full ammo" before I had a real break to reload the arsenal...sometimes sh*t gets real in LS...

I let the guns run out then I buy more.

I do not use explosives so no money spent on that side.I will only add ammo when i'm lower that 3000 bullets.

I keep between 1200 and 2000 rounds for guns and only buy explosives if I plan on needing them.

I only keep 3,000 rounds in everything and that's up from the 1,000 I usually keep. Combat MG has been hovering around 5,000 rounds.

 

I like the idea of clicking the full button every time.

 

Is the pricing accurate for that? I don't think it was when they started it.

Weird possible bug about buying ammo in free-roam:

 

I go into Ammunation and fill up everything, one at a time - so I am pretty sure everything is fully stocked up.

 

I then get an invite or host a mission, then on the options screen it usually has 'buy all ammo' $xxx

 

If I haven't fired a shot in between the store and the mission, what do I need to buy?

 

I will have to have a look the next time, I just remembered you can cycle through the weapons to see what isn't full up

just under 2000 for the guns and full for heavy/grenade-stickies

but then i've not paid for ammo since GTA3

railway survival with the pistol .50, snipe the gunmen in the chopper without hitting the chopper

and you have all the time you need to pick up the weapons then wait for them to re-spawn

and before you say there is a limit to how many you can get for free if you're not holding any

then there's no limit

Once I run out of stickys and/or RPG rounds I stock up and re-fill all my weapons. So I normally am running around fully stocked most of the time.

used to buy full ammo on every job screen

but that was before I was poor

now I just have 6000 or so rounds in each gun and if one is looking to run out I fill it up bit

can get annoying to not have any explosives or something when you really need them though
