North Korea is at it again.....

North Korea has threatened 'merciless retaliation' if the upcoming movie 'The Interview' isn't banned.

So, does anyone take Kim Jong Uns threats seriously?

And is North Korea even technologically advanced enough to carry out attacks on th U.S.A?

Is Kim Jong Un stupid enough to go to war with the U.S.A?

Personally I think that it's all bark and no bite, they won't go to war with the U.S.A, and even if they did I doubt they could even do any damage at all. I'm amazed that the United Nations or NATO or whatever hasn't actually done anything to get rid of Kim Jong Un or his predecessors yet, so much for making the world a better place when an entire country is being oppressed.....

Discuss.

Isn't enough to ban movies in North Korea that he wants to ban movies in the USA, too?

Please someone give him a big hamburger so he will shut up.

Why would any take that misanthropist seriously? That's the the whole reason Seth Rogen came up with the idea for the movie.

They're sort of backed by China. A war with China wouldn't be good for anyone. That's why the NK keeps barking. They know they can get away with any threats. On the other hand, they can't really do anything, because China doesn't want to get into a war on their account either. So it's all just hot air.

I don't think that it would be worth for China to get involved while economically speaking the USA is more profitable.

Guys, China would never stand up for North Korea. Economic interests are far more important than an isolated Communist dictatorship that only produces rice.

The DPRK is not a 'communist dictatorship', nor does it claim to be.

And if it only produces rices, it isn't doing a particularly good job of it.

Yeah, the DPRK is a capitalist democracy then?

They claim to be a "democratic" republic, just like the DDR, but they are a communist dictatorship.

It's f*cking obvious!

It's state-capitalist.

Like I said, they don't even claiim to be a 'communist country'--which is in itself a contradiction in terms--and removed any mention of 'communism' from their constitution in 2009. Literally no communist upholds North Korea as a model to follow, and even if they did, it's not communist by any definition. Unless your definition of communism is simply 'totalitarian state draped in a red flag', then I suppose it is 'communist'.

North Korea capitalist??? Really??? Seriously, I don't know what you have been smoking, but it's clear it's very effective.

I don't care what they claim to be. That means nothing. If I claim to be the Messiah, does that make me the Messiah? Please! You're not a kid anymore, aren't you?

North Korea is a communist country with its own ideological doctrince (Juche), that is a deviation from Leninism.

North Korea capitalist??? Really???

He's right, it is state-capitalist in much the same way that Soviet Russia pre Glasnost/Perestroika was. Or for that matter basically every other Marxist/Leninist/Stalinist state that's ever existed.

That is, commercial activity is undertaken by the state as an entity even though it is forbidden inside the society. It trades for profit with other nations and is therefore state-capitalist.

I think the point that ShootPeopleNotDope was making is that the DPRK isn't actually Communist from a purely ideological point of view; it's "Communist" in much the same way Stalinist Russia was Communist; by association with a Stalinist ideology which is referred to, often by its practitioners, as Communism when in actuality it isn't, and in fact is pretty repugnant to many people who follow what they term to be Communist ideologies.

So, in future, I'd advise you against getting indignant about things you clearly don't actually know anything about.

Yes, really, it's capitalist. Unless the workers themselves own and operate the means of production--and the whole of society for that matter--it is not socialist. Just the same as the USSR was not socialist, as China is not socialist, as Cuba is not socialist etc.. None of these states are/have been run by the workers themselves, but by bureaucrats and military officials. These states are: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/State_capitalism

Good explanation that actually makes some sense. If ShootPeopleNotDope doesn't know how to explain his point, it's his problem; not mine.

You're very arrogant. You think you know more than everyone (you even said you knew more about Israel than Israelis themselves, remember?). You're not inside my brain, so you can't know what I know about.

I think you should be more polite and respect other people by not disqualifying wantonly. It's annoying, disrespectful and gets us nowhere.

Friendly greetings.

That can't be applied in real life.

How can a "whole society" own a factory? How can "all workers" run a country? It's a party that claims to represent the workers that runs the country. Communism as you propose it is an unattainable utopia. You know the theory, the slogans, but not the real world.

NK won't do sh*t..

Not only would the US annihilate NK with their own 'retaliatory' attacks, but the US' allies will pile in, then the other players will pile in and decide to nuke each other and we'll all be f*cked.

If you haven't figured NK out by now.. that's pretty hilarious. Every now and then, NK pulls something like this so everyone can remember exactly who the hell they are. Not long ago it was the test firing of a LD missile, then Dennis Rodman visiting NK < lolz and now this.

Through non-hierarchical workers' councils and voluntary associations, homie. It's communism, not rocket science.

I should mention that communism cannot exist in one country, and that the term 'communist country' is hella contradictory.

China should make a deal with USA to assassinate Kim Jom Ung or somehow capture him and torture the fat bastard to death. Stick some pins n needles up his arse and make him eat a cheeseburger with a bomb inside it. Then get a proper leader to take over his position and fix everything wrong with the country or at least most of them.

I see you got no education at all. After your insults and bad language, I will not keep talking with you. I'm willing to talk only if it's possible to have a civilized conversation. This is not the case.

I'm done with you. Yalla, bye.
