Blu-Tack targetting system

It has to be said that the gun sights aren't always easy to see in every situation, some are just a tiny dot in the center of your screen which can easily get lost in the detail of the scenery in the background, so to combat this I put a tiny dot of (easily removable without leaving a trace) Blu-Tack on my screen right in the center where your weapons shoot at.

So much easier to see where your gun will shoot now, especially as I put another tiny dot about an inch above it and a smidge to the left as that's roughly where your gun will fire at when you're shooting from a vehicle.

Try it :)

In the options you can change the weapons reticule to something else (forgot the name) but it changes the dot depending on the weapons such as the shotgun having a dot with brackets on each side. It's easy to see it if you play on a small TV. Seeing a blue piece of play dough while driving can be annoying, though. Thanks for the tip nonetheless. ;)

I've got quite used to the tiny bits of Blu-Tack on my screen now when playing GTAO.

I did wonder if there was a high-tech solution to the targetting sight being difficult to see when it's virtually the same colour as the background, something like a HDMI passthrough device which overlays a custom target on the screen, but I suspect such a device would cost magnitudes more than a couple of dots of Blu-Tack :D

What the hell is Blu-Tack?

You use Blu-Tack (here we call it sticky-tac) to hold up posters/papers on walls and other light things. It doesn't leave a mark on the wall like some tape does, too.

I remember playing the prologue mission and finding it hard to see my reticule since there's snow drops everywhere thus making it hard to see where I'm aiming. I wish we could change that dot to any color of our choice

i clean my screen everyday before playing as i just cant stand having a finger mark or something on the screen, having a thing physically attached to the screen would drive me nuts.

i think we should have the option to change the dot color or atleast make the damn thing red or other color that it easier to distinguish.

I never understood the issue with seeing the simple aim dot.

the dot being white it simply blends with everything, i just cant see that thing...

thank god i discovered "complex", now this was a game changer for me.

I actually went from complex to simple. Headshots are a lot easier.

Never had trouble seeing the dot to be honest.

Ah, that stuff. Thanks man. I didn't know the brand name lol.

Here it is sometimes called office adhesive but I just called it wall adhesive because I only used it for posters.

LOL

Now i dont feel as bad, Yes i marked the center of my screen using a dry marker (the tv i play on is for the ps3 only lol)

I am 62 and the dot can be hard to see for me, i did change my sights to complex that helped a little but not enough

Oh i know about this its an old trick Snipers in Max Payne 3 would use, its especially useful for sniping to constantly have the centre of your screen marked as it keeps you a half a second ahead of an opposing sniper. Kinda cheap if you ask me but theres nothing that can be done to stop someone doing this.
