FDGC Roleplay Clan
Hey Guys, FDGC wants to know your opinion on the following questions: Would it be better or worse if Rockstar added different Police, Fire and EMS vehicles? Would more people play Grand Theft Auto if Rockstar made this change? Would you play Grand Theft Auto more or less if they added an "LCPDFR" gamestyle into the game? Please Tell Us Your Opinions! Tyla
Would it be better or worse if Rockstar added different Police, Fire and EMS vehicles? For me that would depend on their function. I wouldn't like them just for show. If AI progressed to a living, breathing response to events in the game that called for fast response vehicles and such, then why not. At the moment my feeling is that it doesn't matter what the paramedics are rolling up in as long as they serve a purpose, IE reviving and treating people, not just providing sorry commentary on the state of the American healthcare system. I'd feel awfully warm inside if I drove past a building I burnt down to see the Arson Investigator double parked across the kurb, or a confiscated super car in police livery pursue my kitted out wheels down the freeway. GTAV was a step in the right direction with the Vapid Cruiser, the elder Stanier and the Police Buffalo, not to mention the Unmarked Cruiser, the Police Van, the FIB Granger/Buffalo. They just needed to spawn outside of Pillbox Hill. The poorer police package out in Blaine County was also a nice touch. Would more people play Grand Theft Auto if Rockstar made this change? Not dramatically. They've more important issues to address with their writing team before police, fire and EMS vehicles become a major issue to the sales figures. Would you play Grand Theft Auto more or less if they added an "LCPDFR" gamestyle into the game? LCPDFR? Assuming this is police based roleplay, I'd rather they focus on returning a criminal style of gameplay. I want to be the bad guy again before I assume the role of cop. universetwisters and Spadge
universetwisters
Would it be better or worse if Rockstar added different Police, Fire and EMS vehicles? I really wouldn't care. GTA 3 got it good, with just one police car, fire truck, & ambulance. You don't see 50+ different variants of each on a daily basis and if Rockstar focused more on that and appeasing the people who wanted to play Johnny Law, where would that leave those who want to play GTA? Would more people play Grand Theft Auto if Rockstar made this change? As I said above, only people who pretend they're cops. If they put too much emphasis on it, though, it might draw away people who actually play GTA because it's turning less and less into GTA. Would you play Grand Theft Auto more or less if they added an "LCPDFR" gamestyle into the game? Less. I said it before and I'll say it again - Grand Theft Auto should revolve around being a criminal. Want to play cop because you've got a big ego and demand people respect your authority because you've got sh*tty self esteem? Put all your cop fantasies into an expansion pack or spinoff, but let GTA be what it is, GTA.
