Why I Made My Character Female

So we can experiment with life. Video games offer to be different. Why be the same as you are in real life? Are you so arrogant to think that you're perfect the way you are and never want to be different?

I play as a woman in saints row 2/3 because it's not a very manly game.... I dunno the character they give you is too feminine to take seriously as a man but as a woman it works.

 

playing online as a woman though..... I dunno seems a little strange to me..... men are better than woman...... why would you want everyone thinking you're a weakling and easy pickings ? lol

I draw and care and make female characters. Hell, I am gonna make a game one day where the 2 main characters are Male and Female.

 

OH WAIT, but playing as a female is WRONG!? and GAY!? And making her look cute n' stuff is a way of showing I am SAD AND LONELY!? Also the virgin thing is just dumb as well, who cares? as long as you're not 30-40 years old. I GUARANTEE the majority of people here who use the virgin argument are just insecure teens between 12-18 who say they have sex but really don't, and if they really do and are 12 or so, then it's no wonder their arguments are stupid...

 

That's the logic I have from every SINGLE one of these threads. If I have a choice between male and female in a game, I am gonna try both.

If people here were like this for every game, I assume they wouldn't play Tomb Raider, Mirror's Edge, Bayonetta, or (god forbid) any Metroid game, because it'd SOMEHOW makes them gay virgin losers. THAT is sad. and if anyone says to me "well those games are different.", according to your logic, then the same tolerance of Male playing as Females should apply to GTA:O.

 

I am so confused why guys find the concept of Males playing as Females so difficult to handle, because as one guy said, IT IS A f*ckING GAME.

Girls don't get butthurt over girls playing as muscular hot guys, so why should we get butthurt over playing as women?

 

I don't play any differently as a Female than as a Male online, and the only time I do is to keep the little narratives I have for BOTH characters in my head.

I wouldn't jump and say anybody is better than anybody else. The fact that this guy openly says he thinks even the clothes for women is better is weird. In the game? You like the clothes and being protected by dudes in tanks. My point exactly as to why it's weird. Men don't want to be protected by others.

I always find odd how those threads always end up about sexual orientation and preference.

 

I don't give a damn about playing as a male or a female in any game.

 

I don't stare at the ass of my character wether it's male or female.

 

There is zero sexual thoughts that pass through my head when I play a video game, even if the game has sexual content.

 

Sex, sexual orientation, gender preference are the last of things I think of when I'm making a character, playing has a character, playing a game.

 

Playing as a guy or a girl has zero impact on my real life whatsoever.

People are forgetting one huge factor here: ITS A GAME!

Anyone who claims there are strange undertones as to why they are doing it are just missing out themselves.

Personally, if I've bought an expensive game I want to get everything out of it that I can, so if a large portion of the game involves a female character, tons of clothes for them and so on, then I want to play that part of the game too!

As someone above mentioned above, I too have a male character that I took to level 180 or so, and pretty much got bored.

I then decided to create a 2nd character, mainly to see how I would play the game differently at the lower levels now I have a lot more knowledge.

I then thought why not take the opportunity to experience a big part of the game that I was otherwise going to totally miss out on and make a female character.

 

Its already been mentioned, but it does make the game very different to play, how people interact with you is totally different!

 

To anyone who claims its weird or strange, maybe you need to take a better look at your own life and not have such a closed mind?

I often wonder, are you the ones that constantly come up to a female character and do the thrust or poke action? Grow up!

A closed mind? Naw. Not really. My gaydar is going off with a few of you though. This dude posted twice about the same subject. For whatever reason, he really wanted to tell people why he made a female character and even says in it that the clothes are better?! Like what?! And how people protected you and you liked it? As a man that's weird. That's some female characteristics. The only time I have created a female character is when my girlfriend was watching and wanted to create one. Even in that case, I didn't create it, she did and I watched. If she chose a male character to play as, I would of been concerned. You see how weird that is?

I find it weird that you have some kind of insatiable need to stare at a man's backside every time you play video games.

 

To be honest, it's setting off my gaydar.

 

 

Oh, and the female clothes are better for one reason: Max Payne's Parrot shirt.

I have noticed one disadvantage to a particular attire the female characters have access to:

 

High heels - you can't crouch as low behind walls/obstacles as other types of shoes, giving your opponent(s) something to shoot at for those one-shot kills, your head. But standing next to male characters you're taller

However people don't have to remain static. Change is possible anywhere, so I'm never going to be one to accept a quality of life because "that's just how it is." I'd rather make a difference in my own life than just accept things as is, but I do grasp that you can't truly force anyone to behave a certain way. They have to want to evolve.

I have two characters, one male, one female. Female one has more options and clothes but I can't feel the difference because players who play this game are usually brutal against everything. Lot of people attacks my both characters(both have good mental state), I haven't seen my female protected by another players or not be killed by some domestic terrorists despite she is cool and hot.
