How do you leave a game while being spawn killed?

I was trapped in one of these boosting deathmatches (10,000,000RP etc...) and the only way to leave was to quit the game or turn off my PS3...

 

Is there an easier way than having to re-boot the game every time??? Sorry if this is a stupid question...

 

lol i was in one for the 1st time last night, they killed me once and i was out, easiest way is just to sign out man, PS button and sign out and in again, simple.

I remember once I joined one one accident,

It was when you started falling down a pit each time you died. The host snuck out through his secret slot and grabbed and started a*sraping everyone. I admit it was pretty smart as it was really hard to leave as you couldn't pull up the phone or pause menu to leave

I finally got lucky and switched to SP and watched Michael get his a*s slapped for the hundredth time. When I got back online I got a message that said that I left the game early and I would be a bad sport if I did that more

normally in freeroam i just switch sessions, sometimes i have had to try it the second time because of being shot by another player when i reappeared.......in some of the death matches where you are taking bullets as soon as you spawn, i hit the PS3 button and go to network and tell it to disconnect,

Go into passive, laugh at them and change sessions.
