K.Walters
Well, you surely do have a point there. Looking at grass and those ground textures, awful. We just need to wait for system requirements. What we're posting here are just some facts for which we even don't have arguments. Yeah we do. Though I really don`t think it will require a beast PC to run. A lot of people still have PC that are horrible, so R* would probably want to spread across wider range of people. So I think that in order to run GTA5 a toaster with graphics card will do for lowest settings and 30FPS, while maxed out would require a beast PC. P.S. I see some people talking about components like R9 270 or HD7850 and to be honest I have no clue what to think. I don`t know if that`s good or bad since I only follow Intel and nVidia. Makes me feel like a douche. Edited July 2, 2014 by Andreas Removed quote-train.

Makes me feel like a douche. I'm pretty sure that this game will require a strong config. Not becouse of bad optimization, but simply becouse it's a game with an effing huge map and very good graphics. People should really understand this. When a linear FPS with a few buildings around you requires a good PC, that's fine, but not when GTA needs it? Honestly, i've never undestood the logic behind this, if there's any. And exactly becouse of this, i'm also pretty sure that GTA IV wasn't as bad as people say. It's still has one of the best graphics among PC games, it just requires performance, that's it. Honestly, what did you expect? No one bats an eye when Crysis 3 needs a high-end graphics card, but everybody loses their minds when GTA needs it. f*ck logic i guess.. DrAnomalous
I'm looking to get a gaming rig. I haven't been a regular PC gamer for years. Anyone know of a reasonably priced, trusted, entry level gaming pc that has plenty of room for future expansion? I'm going to NEED to have GTA V on PC because there is plenty I'd like to "fix", of course with the help of the talented modding community. Never felt that I needed GTA IV on the PC because I was happy with it's console version but it be nice to get to get some more replay value out of it as well. You will be better off if you order hardware by yourself and DIY. It is not that hard! Not even an hour to complete it. The most time it takes are installing software, drivers, etc. and then testing. And I mean proper testing like Prime95 and Kombustor for 8hours, etc.
utack
Not even an hour to complete it. I personally have built 3 PC's so far and and hour seems very optimistic for a first build. Even a standard build took me 52min last time. My own PC includes at least 4h of building/planning. Edited July 1, 2014 by utack

I already mention that in previous post. I put together a desktop a few years back but it was by no means a high end machine. It probably cost no more $800 just kinda wanted to try it out. Don't remember how long it took, I know it took longer than I wanted it to because I got the wrong kind of RAM. If I could put together something that could run GTA V for under $1200 I'd jump on it this weekend. Then again I gotta be outta state next week so I'm not sure when I'll have time to do research and some shopping. Edited July 2, 2014 by Andreas Removed quote-train. Perhaps back when I put together that POS rig the components were far more expensive or maybe they saw me coming at Microcenter. If what your saying is true it could be certain that I'll be getting a PC before a next gen console.

That is false. There is no way 1200$ wil lmax out any pc game, even 780 Ti SLI strugle max out some pc games. Do you even know what max out means? Highest resolution, that can be 4K or even more! or Triple-Monitor, 4xMSAA or even more, Ubersampling or something like that. And you think 1200$ box can max out todays games, let alone 5 years from now?? And don't forget 120Hz, 144Hz monitors... Edited July 2, 2014 by Andreas Removed quote-train. Mister XeeL
I came to another conclusion by involving "NEXT-GEN" consoles. PS4 & XB1 are sh*t consoles. Slowing down the evolution of games. That "helps" a lot for people that have "sh*t" computers. PS4 & XB1 are going to run GTA V at medium settings, prob. 1080p, 30 FPS. And so that's next-gen? Next-gen should be 4k or 2k, ultra settings, 60 FPS. Imagine if there was no consoles. People would buy PCs, hardware would get cheaper and video games would be just great. No downgrading or anything. Since English is my foreign language it's hard for me to explain what I'm actually trying to say but I think you got the point. Andreas
who needs 3 monitors to play 1 game? Who needs a $1200 PC to play video games? Who needs a 1440p or better yet an Ultra HD monitor? Who needs to play video games at all? The answer: those who want to play video games for their own entertainment with a quality that is far superior to a console. Of course it's not needed, but if that's what people want to spend their money on, they are free to do so. Sentrion
I've not kept track of this topic, but I'd like to say that building a good PC is about a good knowledge of overclocking. A good selected of hardware at decent price will be able to run the game at maximum settings.
Andreas
Not every good PC is automatically overclockable; it depends on which motherboard + processor combination you have. For instance, you can get an Intel Xeon E3-1230V3, which is nothing else than an i7 4770 that is underclocked by 100MHz and lacks the integrated iGP, for an additional €20 that an i5 4670k costs, depending on the area and in which store you buy the hardware; the one disadvantage it has over the K processor is that it is not or, at least, barely overclockable. But on the plus side, it has HyperThreading. Intel's i3 processors don't offer the possibility to overclock either. The same goes for most of their modern non-K/X chips. Andreas
Rockstar confirmed on twitter that V is running at 1080p on both consoles. I agree about the framerate, though, 30 FPS sounds realistic to me. I assume that the graphical settings of both versions equal to middle-to-high settings on PC.
