*Clutch*
In europe you most probably will be able to max gta V out with a pc that costs 700 euros. I used to be pc player. But maybe because I've grown older I play with ps. Just because its comfortable, and I dont play mutch , few hours in a week. And my laptop does the thing when working or browsing the web. 5000$ pc is hardcore pro video editing tool.

Andreas
That was one of the best PC cases a few years back, it came to the market in early 2007. I have no idea though how well it performs compared to new PC cases in the same price range. It's not a bad deal, I'd say. Johan
You can spend about 1/7th of that and still run the game pretty well.. just around the minimum settings. 5,000 is asking too much for that game, I forgot which game is the highest demanding right now but I can run most of them on maximum settings with a $1900 laptop. C-h-a-r-l-y
People who claim its nessecary to build a Pc for 5000$ to play V on max settings are f*cking retarded Idiots. You can build a PC under 1000$ to play it smoothly on max. Even if its not well optimized. But that will not be the case. 500-1000$ is enough. My PC build was 700-800 Euros 2-3 years ago and I play IV on high settings with enb and many script mods with 50-60 fps. And IV was bad optimized. VIPΣR
Yeah it costs 5000$, because you need this specs to play it on ultra-low with a 800x600 resolution with steady 20FPS GPU: 4x SLI Titan Z RAM: 64GB ddr4 CPU: Intel Xeon E5-2697 v2 @2,7GHz with 12 cores 24 threads and 30MB cache and of course 2x 1TB SSD That's already well over 5000$!!! Keep in my mind that this are the minimum specs you need to play it on ultra-low with a 800x600 resolution with steady 20FPS You'll need a Quantum Computer to play it with the highest settings possible. You better start getting in contact with NASA. Edited June 25, 2014 by Undertaker13 Mr.Arrow and killerbee25

CHILLI
I consider my computer being relatively high-end apart from the graphics card which is mid/high i believe. And roughly translated to USD my computer costs somewhere around 1200USD after tax and all that jazz. Keep in mind that hardware costs about 10-20% more here than over in the U.S so you could potentially get it a lot cheaper than I did. My specs: Intel i7 4770k (quad-core @ 3.5GHz) 8GB RAM @ 1600MHz (if I remember correctly) Nvidia GTX 660 2GB mem. 600W PSU (you'll rarely need more unless you run two or more graphics cards, maybe) It's all running on stock speeds and I can run GTA IV at high/very high with the draw distance sliders at 20-30 or so at native 1080p resolution with over 60FPS most of the time. And I have the hyperthreading off to make sure games dont cause problems, so in reality it's an Intel i5. Dont waste your money on an i7 unless you really need it. In worst case scenarios (tight budget) AMD can still get you far. This is in fact my first Intel processor. FYI: The reason I have a processor like that is because a lot of the programs I use are CPU-heavy. I dont think I'd actually need it otherwise. You can play V with 3-way SLI Titan Y, with 48gb ddr4 ram and an AMD FX-10950/ Intel I9 8770K and get a solid 25 FPS on Medium-Low. Just get your facts straight, at least I know what I'm talking about because my cousin works at Rockstar and NASA (part-time job). Seriously, 8gb of RAM, a GTX 760 and i5/AMD FX-83xx should be able to max it out with +60fps if it is well optimized, so it should cost you from 750 to 1000 dollars to have a computer that can do that. Washuchan
$5000 is probably overkill, for about $1750 you can get a good off the shelf pre-built gaming PC, and you can get the same or better hardware for even less money if you build your own PC from parts. bensons
Just wait until they release the PC game requirements. It could go either way and nobody knows if it will be cheap to run or not except Rockstar at the moment.
ravendrölf
I will repeat myself. The game engine has been heavily modified and optimized. Think about Max Payne 3. It ran very well. GTA 5 looks like MP3. The requirements shouldn't be that high... the size of the world could be challenging though. Also with the sharper textures and thicker traffic settings.. Kampret
You could build a computer under $1000 that'd run GTA V. Not at the highest settings, obviously, but decent enough. for 1500 you could run GTA V on max settings! and btw console gamers are NOT gamers, they can't handle the keyboard. Elitist. No, most console gamers CAN handle the keyboard, but some hardcore PC Elitists CAN'T handle the controller.
