I don't see the casino ever opening up I'm afraid to say. GTA Online takes place before GTAV if it isn't open in V how can it be open in Online? Sure it had a few inconsistensies but that would be to big to ignore.

I doubt that casino gambling will appear for the simple reason that it's pretty much guaranteed some kids will develop a gambling habit, and before long you'll hear stories of someone racking up a couple of grand debt on his mom's credit card buying cash cards to fund his blackjack addiction. That kinda publicity R* do not want. In fact I wonder if R* would need a gaming license in the first place seeing as you can use in a sense real money, is there any gambling in other MMOs, I've never played any myself

I think their main focus is on heists, because everyone has been making such a fuss about it. However, I wouldn't expect many more big sections or gameplay changes until they got it on PC and new gen.

In that case, no updates should be made, because you could always make the argument that I didn't have the I Am Hipster clothing in GTAV to begin with and with the timeline, I shouldn't have them in GTA Online. Exactly, I could see the Casino opening up sometime in the future. It's very detailed already.

 

If you want to talk incosistensies, the in-game internet page for bleeter or whatever it's called, had things on there that shouldn't be. Like Tracey posts something about her audition but how could she have had that if online takes place before. I'm not disputing the fact that it takes place before GTAV but like Utter said, the Casino will open up online and single player.

 

I don't think anyone will be that bothered about the timeline anyway. We'd all be happy that there's more things to do online.

FFS STOP THE PESSIMISM. You need to be 18 to buy the game, you need to be 18 to gamble (16 in the uk to play the lotto, but a lot of house rules tend to be 18 yrs and above when unsupervised) in the uk (older elsewhere). If you are underage and playing this game it is fair to say that whoever has let you play the game is either supervising and won't let you go nuts or is so careless they need a meeting with Mr Phillips. What you predict may happen, but it is absolutely no reason not to put gambling in the game.

 

Sorry for being a bit snippy, but Pessimism annoys me. As for a license I doubt it as money earned in game isn't strictly gained by direct transaction and therefore not subject to conventional gambling laws. While there is a clear possibility of it, it can be argued the money used can be gained by non-financial means by playing the game.

Roullette in San Andreas was the bomb, it would need to be a big interior {at least 400mb judging by the new appartment interior} also how would they combat it getting closed like the gunstore and clothes store when someone shoots in from the outside, maybe make it so you automatically go into passive mode when within shooting range!!

Here's a free tip for you buddy Microsofts stuff is crap that doesn't work properly.

 

IE is a slow piece of junk compared to Firefox or Chrome,

Windows Media Player sucks compared to VLC which will play any bit of media you throw at it

and even Microsoft Office is 5x slower at loading up compared to the free alternative Open Office.
