But.....f*cking finally.... it's very well possible to take on a tank on foot with an RPG now without wasting too much money and lives... oh and the jet now laughs at the tank, I almost feel like in the good old tank sniping days!

 

No more tank convoys ruining the session!

Since the latest patch (1.14) you can wreck a tank with the jet cannons in one go!

 

This means that even noobs can just fly directly above the tank, fire on it with the missiles and kamikaze that motherf*cker.

Better pilots just laugh at tanks now. I mean it's pretty much impossible for a tank to counter a jet unless there is a bridge... but even then, the tanker would have to camp under the bridge fo avoid getting swiss cheese'd

No, cars don't do any significant damage to my knowledge, it's only heavy artillery. RPGs, Sticky, Minigun and the Missiles/Cannons of the Buzzard or Maverick.

Ah, so cars do affect them now? Didn't know that. I usually do as was said before...go quiet and attack from afar with RPGs. Not even a need to directly engage them.

Tanks where just annoying.. And thats a big deal. This game is not a WAR game.

 

 

Sure its easy to go passive or leave the game.. But thats why people don't like tanks.

 

 

Now..Tankers can go play solo session if they can't handle it

I think it's funny that everyone's praising the nerf, because if I'm in that tank, you aren't landing 4 RPGs on me in a hurry. Granted, there's no defence against Lazers, but I think that's fair.

 

Forward/Reverse while sidewards is usually more than enough to put people off. Given that a tank shell is an almost instant hit, it's still a hell of a weapon when it's in the right hands.

I'm pretty much meh on the nerf.

 

Maybe it's because I never really saw them that much but when I did, I always enjoyed the challenge of taking on the twanker, knowing full well that I would more than likely come out worse on the ol K/D bollox....

 

Twankers make free roam interesting for me if I chose to have a pvp session on foot around the city, my type of fun lol.

 

Ironic that the nerf might free the streets of tanks and leave us with the very dull and very predictable reverse chradder griefers!!

The counter to bullet proof super cars is to keep moving and shoot backwards while they give chase. If they chase you they leave themselves open

 

 

Or....just blow them up.
