People make it out to be a matter of winning or losing when it comes to these things. Like you "win" if you don't hype yourself up or have enthusiasm or expectations of any kinds. But you lose if you do, because shame on you for wanting good things to happen...? I know pessimists don't WANT bad things to happen, they just expect them to. if it happens, it happens. We've seen a few new animals in the trailer, and now everyone is expecting sh*t like gang wars, new mission strands, an entirely redone soundtrack and even f*cking jetpacks to eventuate from the next gen release. But my personal opinion is we'll see nothing more than better graphics, better fps, more populated world, better performance in general, a few new animals and NPCs and whatever DLC Rockstar have given us since 17 September 2013. Plus think about it, how many multi generation games recently have been released with significant ammounts of new content simply for the version on the newest console? Not too many, if any at all. At the end of the day I can almost assure you that what you'll be getting Autum this year will be nothing more than a better performing version of the game we've got + a few minor details added in. And, hell, if I do end up being wrong you'll be more satisfied with something better than you expected than something worse than you expected. At this juncture, few are going to pay full price for the exact same game with just updated graphics. Remember that R* said they will take FULL advantage of the power of PC and Next-Gen hardware so that means they have more than enough Ram at their disposal to beef up the content as well they beefed up the graphics. They absolutely cannot use "console limitations" as an excuse anymore.You people are being dumb. This is Rockstar Games. Alpha Demigod Posted June 24, 2014 Share Posted June 24, 2014 While the optimist in me wants to believe that this will be the true "unleashed" version of GTAV that has all the stuff cut from the prev-gen version due to limitations...I have a feeling it won't be true. I want the Hydra back. I want Hotring events back. I want the ability to explore interiors. Pretty much all the stuff that was cut out solely due to the PS3/sh*tbox 360 not being able to support it. But something tells me this won't be the case. The current-gen version will be a technical improvement and nothing else, as the OP says. Some fancy new textures and more grass. How amazing. Rock star themselves said as well as showed to us that there would be new animals as well as more traffic better lighting and all new foliage. That being said you must have missed the memo Rock star sent out a couple months ago saying that they are currently working on DLC for the single player story mode, and since then have gone completely quiet about it. So with that in mind you can bet your bottom dollar on that single player DLC (more story missions) to be released simultaneously with the next gen version! Not too mention they have just released a statement saying that they are pushing back online heists but didn't say till when....and I truly do believe it don't take a genius to figure that one out. So after filling you in on everything and educating you on the details I am sure you will completely 100% understand why YOU sir are wrong! You see there is something physically wrong with your brain and it cannot be fixed! GTA5 is not only a masterpiece but one of the best video games/ pieces of media ever created! The astounding level of detail Rock star were able to create in GTA5 is simple unmatched. No other game regardless of genre even comes close! ivarblaauw Posted June 24, 2014 Share Posted June 24, 2014 Personally, yes my opinion!!!, I think that Rockstar will at least do the following:- Animals in Online, including the new animals - SP dlc will be included - new minigames, like gambling, drinking, dancing and I hope bowling. - A lot more interiors, like Bars, Night clubs and restaurants. - A lot of cut content will see a return. It just has too. To much had to be cut out of the game. - more peds, vehicles and foliage in both SP and Online. - MAYBE an expanded Grand Senora Desert, as it was meant to be in the Beta. this said:I love gta V. It was the best game ever made on last generation consoles. I have spent so much time in it, and it was worth it all the way.On NG we will see GTA V 2.0, the way it was meant to be played. I believe that from the start, GTA V was made to be for next gen. I personally still hope that they will get rid of the V. Look, I'm not being pessimistic with my assumptions here (that being that the next gen gta v will just have improved folliage, more animals, higher res textures, better draw distance, all the gta online DLC), I'm just being realistic here, and setting my expectations properly!
