GTA Online should have a monthly purge

The option to turn of cops? Stop dreaming. It is clear that Rockstar, with the blessing of Take-Two, want to make this game as hard as possible for us, because legend has it increases the sales of kish kirds..

Cops are the most annoying thing in GTA online in my opinion. Anything that gets rid of them I'm up for. Its unlikely to happen though. Too many things would be too much a benefit. Basically, free clothes, weapons, unlimited money, etc. Its a shame, I'd love to see something like this. Maybe with some tweaking of the idea I could see it being a possibility.

Truth. Will never happen though. I like how, apart from the vision cones, the omniscience of law enforcement AI is virtually unchanged from GTA III. The basic programming is still intact:

1. commit a crime

2. cops pinpoint your exact location and arrive in seconds

There have been plenty of 'features' added and removed, refined or scrapped, but it's just to make GTA's subsequent titles feel 'fresh'. The underlying stuff is still the same, which, one could argue, may be fine for single player, but online when you're dealing with human players on top of this bullsh*t AI presence it gets very f*cking tedious.

Aside from not having to sit around in a dark alley or parking lot for a couple minutes every now and then, and killing players in their apartments, nothing would really change.

Apartment raids should have been a feature anyway, in my opinion - it sounds like a really interesting idea. Players would be able to hack into some terminals or something and kill some security guards in order to gain access to another player's apartment (not garage). The level of security could be dependant on the tier of apartment.

To make it even more interesting, and to give it more incentive, there should be a safe that can be cracked in the apartment containing like, $5k that can be stolen. The owner would receive a message notifying them that they've been robbed and whatever. A player who has robbed another player would be disallowed to leave the session for several minutes in order to allow the victim a chance at reclaiming their cash.

I think you just gave me a good idea, OP. I just might e-mail Rockstar about it now, LOL.

Nu uh. No. Bad idea.

No, just no.

It's like this: "I want to do whatever I want with no consequences". Typical 12 year old response. This is GTA, not what you do every nite at home because you're a spoiled little brat with no respect for authority.

It's a game with freeroam. We can do as we please.

Yeah, but this idea of purge is just free-roam, with extra-added "screw the passive players" stuff.

Oh yeah, seeing as cloud's down, maybe the other version of purge is on the works.
