I agree. It would solve many problems, scum wouldn't survive, the prisons would be empty again. Dumb politicians wouldn't be reigning anymore ( i wont say no names ) - i would upvote that!

If we going of the movie purge then "dumb" politicians e.g David Cameron are exempt from being murdered ect due to the purges guidelines. "Prisons would be empty" how do we know? If anything it could fuel peoples desire to kill even after the annual purge has finished which would result in further over crowding in prisons. If by scum you mean homeless people some just lose their way in life e.g fall into turmoil after a family member dies ect. Some people from the army become homeless after coming back from service and don't find it easy to intergrate back into society after the high stress situations their in everyday whilst out at war.

I hope Rockstar NEVER implements ANY of the cockamammy, "Nerf the cops they're over powered", complaints. For me, the cops are fine. I don't want them easier. If I want to do crime without being bothered, I call Lester, and I've only done that twice since the feature was added, why?

 

Cause the cops are SUPPOSED TO BE ANNOYING! They're supposed to chase after you, run you down, pin you against a wall. You are committing crime!

 

I routinely lose a 1 or 2 star on FOOT! 3 star rarely on foot, but driving away, sometimes losing it just by going around in a circle outside of the radar cone. 4 and 5 stars get tricky cause they're supposed to be harder...but if a mod shop is nearby? *poof* Bye Bye wanted level.

 

So no to the purge, no to any cop nerfing.

You made valid reasons, sure, but valid reason for RL, not for GTA. That's why I was confused I guess. And I was just asking how you made the connection, I've never seen the movie, so I wouldnt know about kids targeting homeless people.

Well, i killed 7900 cops ( should be way more, killed more players than cops? ) would be 80% of the real LAPD. I shot down about 30 helicopters & killed hundreds of cops in one session. They are not hard, but spawning like damn fly's.

Don't tell me I took it too serious when frankly being allowed to murder,rape, abuse ect in real life for twelve hours in my opinion is messed up. You could use the creator to make a blank map, turn off cops and turn on everything else (traffic, peds, emerg) Not sure if there is a limit to how much of the map you can use at once though

I'm indifferent with the purge, however I disagree with your comment that cops are supposed to be annoying them and the attitude that losing them is quite easy. The police system in this game is flawed. Heck, the general AI system is. Cops spawning in front of me even when they lost sight of me is a prime example of how broken the system is. I've had episodes where I'd be in Blaine County trying to lose police, but the game would automatically spawn police choppers to detect me no matter where is go. I've had moments where I'd be in LS and I'd be in the tunnels and the cops still spot me.

 

I understand that cops are supposed to be aggressive because people commit crimes, but this doesn't give them the license to basically cheat. It's bad enough that the game uses 'rubberbanding' and the AI has 99.9% accuracy. So, a little nerf would be interesting to see.

Aside from not having to sit around in a dark alley or parking lot for a couple minutes every now and then, and killing players in their apartments, nothing would really change.

 

Apartment raids should have been a feature anyway, in my opinion - it sounds like a really interesting idea. Players would be able to hack into some terminals or something and kill some security guards in order to gain access to another player's apartment (not garage). The level of security could be dependant on the tier of apartment.

 

To make it even more interesting, and to give it more incentive, there should be a safe that can be cracked in the apartment containing like, $5k that can be stolen. The owner would receive a message notifying them that they've been robbed and whatever. A player who has robbed another player would be disallowed to leave the session for several minutes in order to allow the victim a chance at reclaiming their cash.

 

I think you just gave me a good idea, OP. I just might e-mail Rockstar about it now, LOL.

Also, in a world where you're constantly doing any number of illegal activities, a "purge" should consist of something like getting a paper route, picking up trash downtown, or performing the duties of a branch manager of a mediocre ice cream stand franchise. This is what I thought it meant, earlier today, and of course I would fully support such action.

 

But since the, I found out what this Purge thing is, and it seems to me we already have this mode 24/7 and it's called free-roam.
