I went in a Melee death match and I fought this guy who does the heavy punch when you run up to someone and is unable to be blocked and he did it multiple times how do they do that and how can you defend it?

It's lag and you can protect yourself by never playing these abominations of a job.

don't you mean elaborate?

you're a biased observer

because you're controlling only your character you're obviously paying more attention to him and his direct surroundings

or are you watching all players all the time during a TDM?
