Races with ramps which are not required...

Might just be me, but recently I seem to have come across more & more of the races which have ramps installed, with a little gap at the side of the ramp so that the guy who created it can easily win the race.

 

Fortunately I always look for that anyway so usually it ends up me Vs the creator on the race & providing I make no mistakes I win, but it does seem that much like the deathmatches with the mini-gun for the creator & unarmed for everyone else type scenario, that more & more people are making these stupid races with big ramps which you actually do not need to take & waste a lot of time taking them.

 

Anyone else noticed this? Or been lucky enough to be in a full lobby where everyone but you & the creator use the ramp & end up miles behind?

I always try to avoid ramps.

It's more a matter of seeing who is paying attention to the race I think, I have one that has ramps that when hit right can save time, but hit wrong can slow you down drastically, with a path around to avoid them as well. That you noticed the second path means you're sharp, use it to your advantage, that's what racing is.
