Levelling race wins & losses.

Dude your race stats are actually good. Every legit racer will always have more losses than wins. It's a 1/16 chance of winning, so it's only natural. People with higher wins than losses only got it in some scumbag way, and if you want to be like them, I'll tell you how. Here are some ways that will raise your win score drastically. Keep in mind this is what everybody with a higher win/loss does, and if they say they don't, they're straight up lieing to you.

-Create a race that's easy for you but hard for everybody else. For example, ontop of a building with a bunch of barricades that only you know the way out of.

-Make a "Racing" crew and invite a bunch of inferiors. This method is pretty popular and can gain you a bunch of wins fast.

-Host a race and choose a class no one races, like compacts. Make sure you have the best and fully modded vehicle of the class and choose customs on.

-Host a short race like Criminal Records and invite people. Once they start showing up, kick everyone except the lowest level. Make sure to have customs on. Proceed the race.

-And finally, and this is the most important, AVOID QUICKJOB RACES. You do NOT want to race with a bunch of randoms. Alot of them can be very competitive. People with higher wins than losses are not the competitive type so it's mandatory you avoid these.

So there you have it. Now you will be seen in a whole new light and people will think you are a good racer because of your win/loss ratio. Just don't join a quickjob race, it can get pretty embarrassing.

Good luck to ya.

You're a good racer Zeus don't let numbers bother you. I loved your comet race. I was focused on beating joker and didn't know it meant so much to you. I hate feeling like I'm ruining others fun. Our crew has some great racers in it, much better than average randoms. Makes it hard to win every race that's for sure. Race squeekers and run them off the road. Win, win. Lol

Get the best car from a class that not many people use, for an example compacts then upgrade it fully and instead of racing with supers you go with your class. Custom vehicles must be on of course. By doing this you will have an advantage before even starting the race.

To start, my race record is 249W & 464L. I'm quite disappointed by this because it's the only thing in the game I take seriously. Is there a way to go from 249W & 464L to 465W & 464L WITHOUT trading wins? I'm pretty sure I'm the only person who takes racing seriously around here..

By the time Rockstar adds stats for 2nd place, 3rd place finishes ect, that's the day I'll feel better about myself.

No, I'm not trolling, I'm dead serious. I've had enough of losing races.

Learn a few of the best cars for the main classes inside out (Elegy/Massacro/Jester, Zentorno/Entity etc etc.), find a few tracks you like and practice them over and over, learn all the best lines and focus on improving your times and finding which cars work best for you. Host a Non-Contact race on those tracks and you will win most of the time if you're any good. The only issue being pressured by other racer's "ghost" cars if they pull ahead. Trust your ability and stay calm and you should win against most average drivers.

I've got 385 Wins / 259 Losses, all legit, many losses to start when modifying cars and unlocking upgrades. Once you've won a lot you'll get used to taking the correct lines and be able to try more random tracks, until you learn them you may well get beat by those with more experience and sometimes another driver is simply better but overall it comes down to practice. If racing "normal" racing you need to learn all the tactics to avoid being pitted etc, seeing it coming, avoiding or countering.

Also - Brake. Very important and many don't!

if you are good at driving then avoid racing with catchup on. problem solved haha. seriously... avoid tracks like long haul2 if catchup is on as its basically a lottery. always race with the best possible car custom or not. watch broughys videos on YouTube to find out what cars are quickest in each class. the most recent patch has changed what cars are best in class.

always fully mod custom vehicles. learn how to deal with pitters and rammers. and sometimes give them a taste of their own medicine. do all of the above and you will win more than you lose.

I join random races and rarely quit ive won 254 lost 198

I'm always joining a race, 100% expecting to win by not using brakes on corners (lay off acceleration), but I know for a fact I always lose, f*ck.

Not using your brakes? :panic:

It works but somehow you'll get passed by someone who used brakes in the same corner -_-

that's because they;re using the brakes

simply put you want to be slow in and fast out of a turn (generally speaking)

xfxn4n.png

This tactic is bullsh*t. It doesn't work.

yeah the racing line doesnt work bro! ..... spoken like a true meat head

A good point with the racing line is to use the full width of the road on exit, let the car pull you out to the far side. Too many people try to keep tight to an inside line and invariably fight with putting power down and asking too much of the car to turn tightly and do that at the same time, resulting in a spin or at least breaking free of the back end (rear drive) or understeer (front drive).

This is far easier to "feel" in real driving that a game of course but the principal is the same.

Me host races? LOL.

No one joins my created races meaning I can't win FFS. The only people who join my race are crew members & if they race it, i lose.

Either way, it's lose-lose for me...

Host and invite "All from session" and also leave "Open" to random races. People usually join pretty quickly if in a busy lobby - it's a good way to escape griefing or just get around the map - if they exit when you start it's an easy win at least! :)

Have you got a spoiler on it? It spins because it has so much grip! As with most modern cars like that you have grip until you hit the limit and then you spin, unlike something more progressive like a Banshee that will slide but is very controllable and resistant to spinning. If you put a spoiler on the Elegy it really helps minimize the spin. Use the brakes hard when you need to as well, it's a car that can almost give too much confidence and then bite you if you're not careful.

Zeus your crew member here i have the same kind of record and i was close to meeting evens two weeks ago. As you may of noticed there are some really good racers in our crew in fact some of the best online so playing against members in the crew will almost always present a bigger loss than win average. What you need to do is find a track you are really good at and make it yours, dominate it so you only lose on the odd occasion, it can be a custom race or R* created. That's what i used to do i had a track which no one could touch me on simply because i new all the little tricks and how to win even if i was last at the start of the race.

if

Hope this helps somewhat :)

I'm useless at racing, but I do far worse than usual in crew races, there are some cracking racers in our crew.

Plenty of rp to be had in a crew race even if you lose though :-)

Bullsh*t. There are plenty of legitimate racers with more wins than losses, including me, because racing is a skill based activity, and the person who wins is the guy or girl who is very good at driving and doesn't crash. Most races aren't out of 16 people, probably 8, and we win races because we're better than the competition. Half of my races are quickjob races and most of the people there cannot drive to save their life.

Saying that anyone who is skilled enough to have a positive win loss ratio is not legitimate is exactly the mindset of someone who can't drive at all and is jealous of people who put time in to a game and can actually play it.

With that said, there are many racers with more losses than wins who are very good, but my best competition always comes from people with positive w/l.

I race non-contact most of the time. I lead then somehow I lose that lead..

Same here, I'm pure beta! It's normally traffic that gets me, my 43 year old brain can't cope with ghost racers but solid npc cars!

Legit to me means,

most, 75% of your wins are from races with at least 7 other racers in the field - almost impossible now since racing was nerfed and nobody races

You never quit races when your behind

No race trading

Ah, whenever I see traffic is on I accept I'm going to lose, crazy npc's making the oddest driving decisions.

It is AWD which by default will understeer in hard cornering but push too far and that can snap into oversteer (extreme case = spin). As long as you've bought a spoiler you will get some added traction benefit from it since the latest patch. In which case just brake a little sooner/harder on those tricky corners. I lapped Cutting Coroners in my Elegy in 55.2 the other day since the spoiler change, before that I couldn't get on with it and though I could get decent lap times (in the 56's) I found it inconsistent when pushing hard and little things would cause it to spin if going too fast.

Thanks Bhoys.

I've made a race locked to Comets to give people a challenge, crew or not, default weather is rain & traffic on, non-contact. Not one stranger joins my races only crew members & someone will win my race but me. Sadly, the only people who play my content are crew members :( & not strangers & that means there's no way I'll win my own created race :( it's hard to win races because we have elite racers who know what they're doing & I know what I'm doing but I never win when racing with crew members :(

I made a muscle car race for the windy roads of Vinewood Hills, I didn't win that; I made a circuit race for Sports Classics & I didn't win that.

Basically, I've created 5 races & I've never won them lol.

1. Traffic On is a Race Randomizer. You don't want to use it if you know a track and are good on it.

2. Catch-up is a Race Randomizer. You don't want to use it if you know a track and are good on it.

3. Slipstream is a Race Randomizer. You don't want to use it if you know a track and are good on it.

4. Non-Contact is not racing, it's a time trial with friends.

Race Randomizers are crutches which exist to make racing more fun for scrubs who don't understand racing line's and clean racing. It gives the scrubs a chance to at least not DNF.

Dude.. You host races with traffic on thats a 'X'.

You turn on rain...another 'X'.

And you race with NON CONTACT which is another 'X'..

Thats 3 strikes on bad taste. If you don't want to take my advice, what ever. But Im telling you, learn how to make good races with settings that make sense and people will stay.

If you are gonna race non contact at least turn off traffic and rain. Whats the point of non contact if you add in rain and traffic.

Besides, your also the guy that complained about NON CONTACT racers using traffic and lights post as a way to screw up people in the back... Well hey, if you add rain and traffic to non contact 'TRAFFIC' will be a factor to everyone not in 1st place and the rain won't help. They will need to drive off road and knock over light posts and cause traffic to swerve everywhere.

Just sayin'...Take it how you want.
