Speed or Acceleration/Handling?

When it comes down to racing most people think, if it's fast, it'll win. Adders, Entities, Zentornos absolutely everywhere. Little do they know is that most tracks have these little things called corners, and these guys are often confused when a little voltic darts past them at the speed of sound round an apex.

 

Some of my favourite cars to race in are the ones that can take a corner sharp and accelerate out of it like a monster. The blade especially absolutely blows every other muscle car out of the water with it's handling and accel.

 

 

Super = Voltic

Muscle = Blade (dat acceleration doe)

Sports = Elegy/Feltzer

 

What do you prefer?

I prefer balance, sure the Voltic is a beast in handling, sure the Sultan is a beast in handling too, but they aren't a big deal in a race. Skill matters too. Sadly, I've never used my Radius in a race, there's always those Mario Kart tracks with jumps. Even off-road tracks are played with supers, and who can forget the Down the Drain and Criminal Records days...

I agree skill matters too, and I'd argue a guy who is skilful with a voltic will win against a guy with an entity. If we're talking about an actual race track of course not the silly Mario kart white cars can't jump nonsense.

The voltic is definetely a dark horse that people dont expect.

What does the thread title have to do with your case in cars? It's not that black and white. It's not (top) speed vs (or) acceleration + handling.

I'm not an advertiser, why would I be promoting a fictional car? No. All I'm asking is what kind of car you prefer for racing. I've said mine and stated my reasons. That's all.

of course i have (i have one of each except the buccaneer but i have had one at one stage). the ruiner kills it in corners. to get the blade around corners without losing to much speed you've really got to use a combination of brake, handbrake and corrective steering. its do able but in my opinion is a little trickier then the others. but i imagine it is this way as a gasser isn't built to take take corners.

You do have to take slow corners I agree, but it definetely doesn't slide around as much as the others. The dominator and gauntlet could take a turn quicker but when accelerating out of the corner the blade is a sexy beast.

Sports = Massacro .... because Elegy is for homos

 

Coupes = Felon 4-door ... because it's amazing

 

Muscle = Declasse Vigero ... feels like a real muscle car

 

Sedans = Haven't needed to tune one ..... Felon > all

 

Bikes = Bati 801 just for racing ... but the Daemon is my fav bike.

 

Compacts = don't have

 

Off-road = Sandking SWB

 

 

 

So it just became "what vehicles i like". Oh well

I just go with what feels good to me.

 

Super = Adder/Zentorno (It depends on my mood or who i'm racing against.)

 

Sports = Massacro/Carbonizzare

 

Sports Classic = Monroe/Z-Type/Stinger GT (The Stinger GT suffers from similar traction of it's sports brother, and can spin out easily if you're not careful on them corners.)

 

Muscle = Gauntlet/Blade

 

Bikes = Akuma

 

Off-Road = Bodhi

 

SUV = Huntley S

 

Compact = Blista

 

Coupe = Exemplar/Cognoscenti Cabrio

 

Sedan = I don't know
