faustianbargain Posted December 29, 2002 Share Posted December 29, 2002 The gameshark costs from $20-$40 and is a card like the memory card that you put in your PS2 slot. Then you load the Gameshark disc which has many stored codes on it and has the option to manually input any new code you want. The disc loads then the information to the card then you put in your game and those codes are activated. Gameshark is mainly for cheating, yes - infinite armor/health/money but there are quite a few codes that make the game soooo much more fun, some of the things there are no controller enterable code. Like giving cars tank properties. Making cars that fly like rockets. Making the environment or characters completely different. There are so many possibilities that it can open a whole new game to you. You buy the games for fun and want them to remain fun as long as possible and I think this definitely helps that. GTA3 and GTA Vice City have some very interesting gameshark codes that are just from people hacking them and seeing what they get. One of the funniest ones was in GTA3 someone figured out how to change the composite of the main character so that his hands were where his legs were and his head was upsidedown on his ass. The possibilities are endless. The gameshark is a game enhancer for any game, not just the GTA games. Add I do believe that you have not fully experienced GTA without trying some of the GS codes.
