Maybe they'll make it a PS4/XBO exclusive at this point so people have more of an incentive to upgrade their system/game...that would actually be unethical and dishonest.

Fixed. If R* releases heists for xb1/ps4/pc only, it will be a major FU to the fans who bought the game on ps3/360 who made rockstar their precious billions. Not everyone has the cash to run out and spend $500 on next gen and a new copy of V.

That's why you buy the ps4 or Xbox one now, then when GTA comes out. You only pay $60

It was never about that (at least to me). The heist delays aren't ruining my day or killing my mood or otherwise negatively impacting my life. I realize it's just a video game, and that there can be unexpected delays.

My complaint is that, at this point, the delay is excessive. This isn't an indie developer with a skeleton crew and very limited resources. This is a giant company, producing one of the biggest game franchises in history. If they're going to advertise something as being available at or around launch, then you (R*) are creating expectations. When people get annoyed/upset about the delay, it's not their fault...the feelings are motivated by you promising something that hasn't been implemented 8+ months later. R* had to have known the hype for this aspect of the game, so it's on them to staff appropriately and dedicate enough resources to resolve issues as they arise and release the updates within a reasonable amount of time.

If they do wait until the game is released for next-gen systems, that's a big slap in the face to people who bought the game on day 1 and have been patiently (or not-so patiently) waiting for heists.

I have. These sorts of delays aren't normally broadcast to the audience. And I will say again, they want to release it working, with no bugs. Imagine the sh*tstorm if it's released with bugs.

 

And I will also say again that people are going to be disappointed by the heists no matter what, as people seem to be expecting more than is possible. There's going to be very few heists. It's not like you'll be able to pick any store or bank and say 'we want to rob that, let's form a plan'.

 

The heists will be pretty much exactly like the ones in the SP mode, but probably in different locations.

When you really think about it, there is no reason they couldn't have done heists the same way they do everything else in GTA Online.

 

Why exactly MUST they release all of the heists at once instead of releasing them as they finish them? Nobody would be complaining if they released a small heist shortly after release, then continued to release different heists over time.

 

So for them to delay releasing heists THIS long means that they are deliberately doing it because there is something else to be added with heists (more expensive vehicles, apartments, something like that) to offset the greater payout, OR they are delaying it for next gen to have something extra to hype it up with or something like that.

The real conspiracy is that the head of R* is the alien that piloted the ship in that Roswell incident way back in the day.
