Basicallly I'm new to GTA as...I've only watched family members play beforehand and never desired to buy one myself until someone got me this game for Christmas. I am now hooked. I'm unfamiliar with other radio stations aside from gaining suggestions to ones from previous games, then I go search for the songs. The point of this was to just find interesting music and broaden some sort of horizons on the whole music aspect of the game. Jesus christ.

 

I never really understood, despite not knowing of previous stations, how people dislike EVERY aspect of GTA V's radio, because some of the songs are great and not something you'd just go listen to on the radio irl. I believe anything that offers a vast arrangement of music is valid and something I can pick around and choose something off of to suit my taste palate. People are generally so opposed to new sh*t it's odd, but I mean. To each their own.

I'm assuming you're a gamer and how did you NOT wanna play ANY of the other GTA games? I have loved the music in ALL the GTA games. MAYBE not EACH song, but I can agree that each song in each game was memorable and got a few listens from me. My favorite station is Radio X.

None. Most of them suck. Especially WCTR, Blue Ark FM, and East Los FM. I don't think anybody ever listens to those. I think R* should replace them with Integrity 2.0, Liberty City Rock Radio, and Vice City Fm from GTA IV Episodes. All of those Radio Stations were awesome! Especially Integrity 2.0 with Lazlow. That one was hilarious!

 

Why would Liberty City Rock Radio exist in GTA V when there already is a classic rock station and the game is set in Los Santos?

 

Anyway, my favourite station is WorldWide FM.

in particular is incredible. Soulwax FM was my favourite for the first weeks that I played V. I also love FlyLo, Lowdown and Channel X.

I really wanna say Non stop pop because there's a few decent tunes on there, but I find myself switching to LSRR pretty much all the time.

 

I instantly switch to LSRR as soon as I hear "is this one thing that got me tripping, ohhhhwwwaaaohhh!", song does my fking nut in.

R*'s selections perfectly encapsulate the musical experience intrinsic to L.A. i mean they got fly lo involved. the nite jewel track is exclusive to the game and honestly one of her best songs she's done. VBR and RMP is OTM. i wish we could have gotten some ariel pink though.

On Topic:

1. Los Santos Rock Radio - Great songs, (except Too Late For Goodbyes, Baker Street, Rock'n' Me and possibly another one I cannot remember).

2. Radio Mirror Park - Usually I avoid hipster related culture, although the songs are f*cking amazing (except Phyxixx City [however you f*cking spell it] and Do You Believe).

3. Channel X - Half are decent, the other half make me cringe (hello, Bored of You [prime example]).

For me it is Space, but I try to catch Nissim on Worldwide whenever possible and I love that harmonica track on Rebel. I really like Blue Ark, too. Not a fan of just about anything else.

If I had to elaborate what I listen to versus what I do not, here is a list.

 

What I like/What I listen to (in no particular order):

 

1. Los Santos Rock Radio (mostly for "Radio Ga Ga", "I Don't Care Anymore", "Higher Love", and many other classics there)

2. Non Stop Pop (for the select few songs I think are good on that channel)

3. West Coast Talk Radio (for Chakra Attack and others)

4. Rebel Radio

5. Soulwax FM (for a few songs I like on there)

6. FlyLo FM

7. The Lodown 91.1

8. Space 103.2 (for da funk!)

9. Vinewood Boulevard Radio

10. West Coast Classics (for the VERY old school hip hop and rap)

 

What I dislike/What I don't listen to (in no particular order):

 

1. Radio Mirror Park (I am into some Indie, but not a whole lot and do not really like the songs on this radio channel)

2. Worldwide FM

3. Blue Ark

4. Channel X (not hugely into Punk, but mostly avoid it because they play "Pervert" quite a bit, which I think is a stupid song)

5. West Coast Classics (for more the generalized cookie cutter rap and hip hop)

6. East Los FM (do not like Spanish music at all, so I avoid this channel, save for riding Taxis in multiplayer as I cannot change the channel)

 

However, I do agree that GTA V's soundtrack (not the radio soundtrack), is one of the best in the GTA Series bar none.

GTA V Radio Station. The ones that play online... I prefer Radio Mirror Park and Worldwide FM music-wise. If I had to choose a first it'd be Radio Mirror Park. For the hosts The Lowdown bc of Pam Grier, West Coast Talk Radio for the Chattersphere, and Non Stop Pop because I love Cara Delevingne.

 

The advertisements are actually funny too.

 

Im glad to see Mirror Park getting the nod.

 

Definitely has the best overall music out of all the stations, probably followed by Flylo FM or Soulwax.

 

Los Santos Rock Radio has a 1 or 2 gems, & so does west coast classics, but the problem is the rap and rock stations in my mind will always be compared against the San Andreas matching stations which were FAR better.

 

Whereas Radio Mirror Park & Flylo are sort of their own thing for the newer more undiscovered music, which is awesome.

 

Worst radio? The pop radio... most of it is a load of sh*t, nothing like the better pop stations from older games like Flash FM!!!

It's between Non-Stop Pop and West Coast classics as my favorites, but I do listen to the Radio Mirror Park, Radio Los Santos, Flylo FM(usually when 100hm - The Kill are on), and Space.

Host wise, its a no brainer. Maggotbrains and rubberfans all know that is Casper, not the friendly ghost, but the holy ghost, baba. Bootzilla, the world's only rhinestone rockstar monster of a doll! Wind him up!

 

However, Space 103 doesn't have enough Mothership, so I've got to give it up to Lowdown as the best mix of songs. I don't think there's not a single track that isn't a total and complete classic, and you can pretty much be garunteed a fresh song ever time you turn it on.
