If any mods are reading this, please consider that if you let one thread be open, the forums will not be flooded with more. Obviously this is a topic of great interest to the people here.

 

That being said, i will like to discuss the new "leaked" picture that has been going around.

 

Can anyone source the artwork in it or identify the car shown?

 

Someone said it looked like a rhapsody but the rear is too long for that.

Oh im not sure either. But im sure people here have a want/need to debunk it if its fake. To me the sceen looks pretty legit or its a really fantastic photoshoop. I would love to know if the source art is anywhere else.

Well it's not real for one of these reasons

 

1. The text doesn't match the others
2. Rockstargames always puts "The" in every dlc name

I was thinking 'fake fake fake' but because he interacted with the UI, the text seemed to fit, the artwork was spot on etc it does seem legit.

If it is fake, somebody did a fantastic job there.

It's a red JB 700. The online player is wearing a black bussiness open suit along with the Heavy Pistol and a fire engine blowing up in the background, there is also the tail of a Green chopper of some sort from what I can see.

 

- About the desc: It sounds like something R* would say at the very least, there is an error though saying ''Three new weapons, the Marston Revolver, the Military Carabine and many more''. Plus the Ornate Bank Heist is related to the CnC codes and string that was found.

I think we can safely say that despite what many people claim, the constant Heist threads indicate this is still a highly anticipated update.

 

Authenticity aside (can we confirm the other images are for the appropriate updates? and this is the general Xbox look and that multiple sources have this image?) I really do want to play the dam things. I remember long before I joined the forums and only read the Newswire that I deliberately levelled up in November before I started an Internship in Summer to ensure if Heists came out I could take full advantage of them. Clearly something R* posted made me think they were coming, they are long over due.

Good point - if this was a standard bug on Xbox, we would've seen it everywhere, and the snaps would all match.

It was in a video on youtube. It's not photoshopped.

How many heists are in story mode? I think they'll probably start out with a few then slowly add more.

Real or not, the guy made it seem authentic by including ANOTHER Assault Rifle. That's classic Rockstar right there.

 

The problem for me is with a Blaine County Bank Robbery. The only bank besides the one in Paleto is the Fleeca bank in Sandy Shores, no? And there are multiple Fleeca banks, but people tend to not notice them because they are not near anything like the one in Blaine County. I've always assumed that the heist update would give us heist missions, but also open up these banks for robbery. It'd be like robbing a store, but with a higher risk/reward.

 

Also, someone said that they made a mistake by saying that there were three weapons, but then listing "many more" after listing all three. The picture is cut off, so for all we know they are introducing many more paint jobs or something.

 

I think it's fake, but it's a well done fake.

Well, just to debunk a couple of more people, does anyone remember the "Facebook" that rockstar put on the actual internet? I think it was life invader.

 

Well go on there, if you find the war stock picture you see 6 military vehicles, including a attack helicopter and a army humvee, which were never included, but the screen was released 2 weeks before the game came out, which made no sense. The only reason those vehicles/helicopter was taken out was for DLC. They were fully detailed and should have been in the game.

 

I lean towards real because the attack helicopter didn't feature in the game yet. Also, there was a screen of new weapons, (before hipster update, and it had some assalt rifles, it included the hipster guns, but the assult rifles weren't in the hipster update.) so it could be those assault rifles.

 

If this picture was fake, it was extremely detailed and photoshopped. If this picture is real, the update should be the next update and it will probably come out In a couple of weeks.

 

Just my two cents.

 

Conclusion: barely learning towards real, if there is some type of flaw that someone points out that shows it might be fake. I'll call it fake for now.
