Are GTA YouTubers misleading the GTA5/Online Community?

big youtubers dont ask u to like ther vids 50 times in the 5mins the have. example xpertheif he doesnt say like till the end. he says leave a like while domislive say drop 3000 likes and like 50 times. pewdiepie he doesnt say like or promoted his channel it grew on its own

At the beginning of February there a lot of hype videos for heists but there was no proof provided that they would be coming anytime soon.

 

It's their fault that most of the past DLC was so overhyped that when it was released most of the GTA gaming community were dissappointed because these youtubers gave them false hope.

 

An example of this is when the High Life DLC was to be released, there were loads of hype videos leading up to the official release that made it so that when the DLC actually came people were dissappointed because all the stuff that the youtubers said would be there didn't make it's promised appearance, Like the gold paint and full black window tint that didn't come until the Hipster Update but were 'supposed' to come out with the high Life Update.

The problem is cyclical in nature. People make video's and get no response so they turn to obnoxious tactics to get views. Obnoxious tactics often do lead to views which leads the youtuber back to making do nothing videos.

 

Im currently trying to find a good way to promote my video's but all the tactic's are in essence obnoxious.

hashtagging, forum spamming, an misleading titles all lead to views. The real problem comes when you find tubers who seem to just exist as these tactics instead of as creators.

My vote is YES I feel the majority of GTA youtubers often mislead gamers. However good ones do exist.

 

So ignore the chaff and support those who excel.

Ok first of all they said it was leaked in the source code... So it could come out anytime R* want it too.(casino for example). I don't know who you're subscribed to.. DomisLive (in my opinion) is one of the top GTA youtubers out there. He gives reliable info, cares about his subs (won't post anything that could get his subs banned. ex. money glitches), and he always is very active not just on twitter but on the comments on youtube!!

The only GTA Gamer Youtuber I like is Mr.BossFTW, he really enjoys his work and does play with his subscribers once a month. He really loves what he is doing and does things for people that love to play GTA. The rest I can careless about with their false information that they make up.

Not subscribed to any of them becuase it's partly their fault that the game has went downhill since release since they're the ones who spread glitches and other things. Unless this part was supposed to be sarcastic which I hope it was, DomisLive is one of the worst youtube gamers on the web he pushes us to like his videos when half of it is taken up by is boring intro and pleads at the end, He spreads glitches like the rest of them and he's one of the worst because he makes videos based on what he's heard from other people on other websites. This site being one of those sites. If your willing to do a bit more research you will find that DomisLive is also one of the most disliked youtubers at least when it comes to GTA and GTA online. One o the good ones would have to be MrBossFTW or someone else I don't go on youtube much I just read the newswire whenever I want to keep up to date on whats coming out next.

I thoroughly dislike the practice of 'like this video for more videos' and 'like, comment, subscribe' requests at the start and end of videos. For my gta online in real life vids (see signature) I just give people credit for choosing themselves if they want to do any of those things. I think not asking get's you more respect also.

They sure are misleading the youtube search. I hope for a day where I can search GTA and find what I look for without getting bombarded by glitches, tutorials and sketchy rumors. A day when a description gives an actual description and not a list of words to funnel views.

I'm just tired of the GTA youtuber trend in general... every kid who gets a capture card for their birthday, now fancy's themselves a GTA'tuber and this has led to this tsudo-incestuous relationship, where they do nothing but create clone video's of the content taken from the already established GTA channels... It's become a infection over the past few months and (glitches aside) has led to a climate of disinformation regarding potential updates and features. And of course in this forum, each clone video or piece of rampant speculation, gets it's own thread!

I dont like gta youtubers, unless it is something useful or funny. I used to never believe in a leaked DLC (apart from the cassino). But after the Hipster Update had been 100% leaked including the title and notes of it, maybe i should not judge the veracity of the dlc too soon. Now they appear with another possible leaked DLC, and i believe that it can be real again. one thing i lile about pewdiepie is how he tells his subs stuff about utube and the money sode. he even said himself. he is amazed on how he got 27mill subs. btw today he said himself the news talked about how he earns 4mill a year. they didnt mention him raising 1mill for charity or that he donates to charity and most of his cash marzia uses to buy her stuff

As a Youtuber with over 250,000 subscribers I can say that 90% of Youtubers love their audience/fan base... I speak for myself but when I started youtube it was just a hobby. Took about 2 1/2 years before I ever saw money... This was something that started as a hobby and just one day became a full time thing. I finished college with plans in going into a corporate job but my hobby became something more than a hobby... Now I entertain, inform and play video games for a living all thanks to my viewers/fans and I am forever greatful for that.

You may disagree with a Youtuber and youre free to have your own opinions but I can tell you that my channel is not alive/fully ran because of the $. I appreciate my viewers and fans because with out them I am just a 23 year old college graduate that plays video games.

Leaked information is presented as leaked information, meaning it has not been confirmed by an official source and the source where it did come from is usually given as well.

 

Then you process that information using your brain and draw your own conclusions.
