Heavy Sniper definitely nerfed.

Tank armour nerf doesn't affect tankers. For example I brought out my tank yesterday to combat a tanker and although tanks have less health it's still well worth it for $200 a go. I noticed it being weaker but not drastically, only a few less explosives required

I for one am glad the tank is weaker. Tank has no place in GTA imo. Get out and fight like a true foot soldier.

What about the weaponsbeing nerfed? Do you think its ok to be fighting for your life against a jet. Pull out your heavy sniper, actually manage to get a 1 in a 1000 shot on the pilot flying towards who wants to kill you. Only to have to do it again?

Tanks should be invincible along with having the best wep in the game on them. And reversing in an entity with an ap pistol should be an unstoppable trolling mechanic.

I think you just had a brain fart! And strongly disagree with your second paragraph.

 

I don't think a heavy sniper using 50 cal bullets which kills in one shot is op. I think its what it should be. Have you ever sniped a player, flying a buzzard, trying to kill you? I have. Its difficult and worth rewarding.

 

I myself also found the ap pistol great! especially for car battles. Its strong because its an AP Pistol. AP meaning armor piercing.

 

You speak of balancing in your reply? However, Rockstar created a level system which gives higher leveled players stronger, better weapons. Thus creating imbalance. By nerfing all the rifles, submachine guns, pistols etc... They actually not just go against themselves, but also create the opposite of balance as low leveled players who had access to these 'op' weapons are now at a further disadvantage to the high levels. If you want balance so much. Ask Rockstar to remove the level restrictions on everything in the game.

 

In my opinion, its been the way it was since online came out. I found the weapons were powered fine before 1.14. How people used them, like you mentioned about reversing in entitys etc, was not. However, thats not the weapons power to blame. Thats the cars design.

 

Overall, I find your response to be totally wrong! only highlighting how little you know about the game.

 

And again, about the tanks. I understand why they nerfed it. I just feel there were perhaps other options. Oh, just so you know. I use the jets, not the tank. This nerf makes the jet now totally unrivalled online (except another jet) and as such, I dont mind.

This new update 1.14!

 

Its changed the online gameplay in almost everyway!

 

The tank armor has been severely lowered rendering it useless for anything other than trolling low levels who have only got access to small arms. f*cking annoying. However, the reasons for Rockstar doing it is understandable! 'I must admit I am a bit pissed that I paid $1.5 mil for what now has become a mule covered in weak armor plates!' Surely some form of rebate should be applied.

 

However, moving on to the point!

 

They seem to have 'nerfed' (and I use that word very cautiously) the whole weapon system. WTF! The heavy sniper (50cal) now takes 2 shots to kill a player unless you hit them in the head!!! The AP Pistol now does almost 1/4 of the damage it used to. Honestly what the f*ck is going on here!?

 

I managed to shoot a guy (who was in a jet) in the chest with the 50 cal. Now in the previous 1.13 state it would have killed him! (Rightly so to!). However, now it only brings his health to just above nothing! Complete Bullsh*t!

 

Now I have tried the other weapons too, like the advanced rifle etc..., and they have also had their power reduced!

 

I have looked at the 1.14 patch notes and don't recall it saying the damage will be lowered for the weapons! Why was the decision made to nerf the guns!?

 

I know these specific weapons have been royally f*ckED! because I have thousands of player kills with them and know there capabilities!

 

My question: Is this happenning to anyone else? If so, what do you think about it?

 

And rightly so. I am glad they nerfed the tank armor. It gives people on foot armed with Sticky Bombs and RPGs a fighting chance against a twanker. Before, it was much harder, and much more annoying. And this is coming from a person who loves using the tank.

If a tank costs $1.5 million it makes sense for it to be overpowered, otherwise we might as well buy a f*cking NOOSE "tank". I'm not sure whether its been nerfed but if it has I think its slightly unfair, it is a tank after all and appropriately priced.

A Buzzard costs pretty much the same as a tank but that isn't as powerful. Price doesn't mean sh*t. It's so you can't have a full lobby in tanks 24/7

The only nerf to the weapons was a slight nerf on the AP pistol and the heavy sniper. Someone said that all weapons were nerfed and most people believed them without checking.

The changes make sense, at the expense of realism.

The AP Pistol is for piercing armor, imagine the effect to flesh.

And now I know why someone didn't die in the Hipster Event after shooting his chest with a Heavy Sniper.

 

The tank nerf is entirely necessary, it's a silly item to have in free mode. It feels too arcade-like. I feel the shells should be a bit slower, much longer range and have a downwards curve. The rate of fire should be much lower, and the MG on top should be usable by a second player. The speed should be a tiny bit slower too.

 

The helicopters and jets are too weak in terms of armor. The helicopter machine guns feel ineffective thanks to the new flying physics. It was much better when you could sustain a downwards angle in IV, which cannot be done in V. The Annihilator should have non-fixed machine guns that could turn depending on the reticule position , for those who have played the Saints Row series, you know what I mean.

 

Rockstar need to continue the buffs and nerfs for the future of GTAO. I want next gen to feel fully refined when I get GTAV on Xbox One.

It's a cluster-fuçk of black bars covering the entire fuçking area surrounding me, and I have no idea when someone is near me or approaching me until it's too late half of the time. The way I play GTA Online has always involved heavy use of the expanded mini-map, and in one fell swoop, Rockstar has basically forced me to adapt and play differently. lol I got killed 3 separate times today while trying to figure out where exactly I was in location to other players on the map using the expanded mini-map, only to not even realize someone was rolling up behind me. Of course I would have seen them if I had the small mini-map open, but it's just funny that trying to get the bigger picture now is practically useless if anyone is within 8 blocks of you.

If tanks were more realistic, 1 or 2 rockets would be enough to disable one.

You're underestimating the resilience of modern-day tanks.

When something is nerfed, its a sign that the devs think the feature is too powerful.
Or didn't test their code, which is probably the case, as usual.

Oh bullsh*t, the game wouldn't be functional if they didn't test their code. There's a difference between play testers sitting in the same room together and the millions of us playing together over the internet. You never get an accurate picture with play testing. Even valve has had to adjust counter strike and team fortress 2 countless times.

I approve of all the nerfs mentioned in the OP.

The sniper was overpowered.

The tank was overpowered.

AP pistol admittedly wasn't overpowered compared to the other weapon classes, but it was OP compared to the other handguns.

Yeah it sucks but some weapons are still awesome like the gusenberg and combat pistol, I prefer the sawn off shotty because of its damage

Seriously anyone that is bitching about the tank being nerfed is a gigantic, gaping moist pink pussy of the most soft and delicate order. Oh no my tinypenismobile has been taken away, now i'll have to actually rely on my skill in a multiplayer game. I really hope I come across some of you on a day when I feel like making people cry. Nailed so many tanks with the RPG since 1.14, and destroyed 5 consecutively (off radar) in a huge war in vinewood the other day. Way better balanced than before, there's actually an element of skill.

 

On a separate note, I actually don't mind the guns being nerfed either. My LSPD'd heavy sniper was overkill, people actually have a slight chance to escape now. Only a slight chance.

yes man I see this sh*t too I notice it does take 2 shots with the heavy sniper. and I have noticed the other guns takes so f*cking long to kill someone. and it lags or some sh*t because when im in a shootout with some one and I use a gun like the combat mg and they use like advanced i aim and shoot first before they even raise their weapon but somehow either they kill me or we kill eachother like wtf?

From my experiences you can't snipe out the pilot. However, visual evidence of such a feat would help.

 

Also, FWIW, I've never been killed by a jet pilot. Even if I can't kill him, 2-3 shots with heavy sniper in the jet and he's off searching for a replacement.

 

Finally, I'd like to add maybe they buffed body armor. Or maybe like other's have said, its lag. I, for one, have no quams about the suppose-ed weapon nerf.

Almost everybody got their tanks for free, and got them at low levels, due to a glitch in the store at that time. So there really was not any filter for twankers, and every little sh*t had one, and gleefully used it every day. There was no balance in the game, until now, when a first step has been made.

 

Also, I have not noticed any weapon nerf when doing my usual grinding and gang attacks against NPCs. So if all the natural born badasses in the game are seeing apparent weapon nerfing when killing other players, maybe what really happened is that player health was buffed.

 

If health is buffed, this is a good thing, as someone said above. The poor low level players in GTA0 don't have a chance - they are just soft targets for the millions of assholes in GTA0, so by the time people level up, they are so pissed at being killed all the time, that they think the only culture and only goal of GTA0 is PvP kills, which has really destroyed any richness in what could have been a bold new direction in multiplayer gaming, instead of a 24/7 deathmatch K/D fest.

I don't think the weapons are nerfed, out health has just been buffed, I can take bigger falls then I used to be able to.

You can definitely snipe out the pilot. CBA to find a video but, you know, youtube exists so there's that.

Vehicles are overpowered, too, hit someone hard enough with one and they die!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :p

I just wish it didn't take so long to join a quick job after the Hipster Virus (that's what I'm calling the update anyway).

 

Every three or four quick jobs I try to join I get hung up in the clouds for far too long. I also notice several other players stuck in "joining" status when I am actually able to get into a lobby. By the time everyone joins most people have left the lobby because it takes forever.

 

This is ruining online multiplayer.

 

I was going to petition Rock* about the issue last night because I'm sick of it, but I saw 3 or 4 question threads about the issue there already. Rock* had not responded to any of the ones I saw.....so even they don't know what's going on yet.
