This new update 1.14!

 

Its changed the online gameplay in almost everyway!

 

The tank armor has been severely lowered rendering it useless for anything other than trolling low levels who have only got access to small arms. f*cking annoying. However, the reasons for Rockstar doing it is understandable! 'I must admit I am a bit pissed that I paid $1.5 mil for what now has become a mule covered in weak armor plates!' Surely some form of rebate should be applied.

 

However, moving on to the point!

 

They seem to have 'nerfed' (and I use that word very cautiously) the whole weapon system. WTF! The heavy sniper (50cal) now takes 2 shots to kill a player unless you hit them in the head!!! The AP Pistol now does almost 1/4 of the damage it used to. Honestly what the f*ck is going on here!?

 

I managed to shoot a guy (who was in a jet) in the chest with the 50 cal. Now in the previous 1.13 state it would have killed him! (Rightly so to!). However, now it only brings his health to just above nothing! Complete Bullsh*t!

 

Now I have tried the other weapons too, like the advanced rifle etc..., and they have also had their power reduced!

 

I have looked at the 1.14 patch notes and don't recall it saying the damage will be lowered for the weapons! Why was the decision made to nerf the guns!?

 

I know these specific weapons have been royally f*ckED! because I have thousands of player kills with them and know there capabilities!

 

My question: Is this happenning to anyone else? If so, what do you think about it?

I know OP, almost everything has changed, now my character moon walks instead of normally walking.

I did not notice anything with the weapons^^ But I can imagine Rockstart trying to make missions harder, to prevent players from grinding money.

I haven't noticed a nerf, but there were instances when it took more than one Heavy Sniper shot to kill a target. However, I attribute that to my bad target choice. (I was shooting players at about the stomach level)

 

In regards to the tank armor, I can only hope that you're right. However, I do not believe it either, as I've not noticed a difference. Ever since players have been coming back because of the update there have been tanks everywhere, and I have had to fend them off. It has taken approximately the same number of shots as it has always had.

I approve of all the nerfs mentioned in the OP.

The sniper was overpowered.

The tank was overpowered.

AP pistol admittedly wasn't overpowered compared to the other weapon classes, but it was OP compared to the other handguns.

With all due respect to you both. I have killed thousands of players online. Been here since Oct 1st 2013. I know when people have armour or higher health due to their levels. I have tested this in private sessions with friends and the result is the same. A shot to a player (with no armour) to the chest. Which did kill in 1 shot before 1.14, Now just removes 95% of their health. It doesnt kill them.

Not saying that they haven't messed with the potency of weapons but I certainly haven't noticed a tangible difference.

 

And the tank armor Nerf is a godsend. Had a guy blow up one of my crewmates and his car while exiting LSC. We proceeded to exact revenge and he ran off to get his tank.

 

We both took elevated positions on opposite rooftops and blew his tank up with our rockets. He spawned in passive like a pussy to go get another tank but while he was gone we dropped a bunch of sticky bombs on the street. So he got blown up again.

 

So a twanker bitch got his ass handed to him. Before he raged quited, we both called our tanks but didn't fire a shot. We just wanted to make a point that tactics trump aimless brute force.

Why even respond? You didn't even answer my question!

 

I believe a tank should be a tank. I feel putting a timer before a player can call another tank (like most contact features such as mugger, mercs etc...) would be a far better idea. I also did state that I understood the reasons for them doing it. I think the airstrike should also have the damage greatly increased.

 

Free advice: Stop trying to infer things from peoples questions and just answer it (if you want). Because, I could infer many things from your reply about you, but I won't. Trust in my advice. You will be a happier person.

I for one am glad the tank is weaker. Tank has no place in GTA imo. Get out and fight like a true foot soldier.

O no r* balanced the game so that there is counter play to what were obscenely op weapons? WTF R*

 

Tanks should be invincible along with having the best wep in the game on them. And reversing in an entity with an ap pistol should be an unstoppable trolling mechanic.

the only weapon they nerfed was the ap, and only slightly, the other nerfage you notice is due to increased lobby lag. try changing weapons fast or combat rolling and you will see what i mean, it varies and is f*cking annoying.

I believe these most likely to be the case. Lower ranked players with lower health can die from one shot to the knee lol. So it depends on who your shooting. Haven't noticed much of a difference in other weapons, but I mostly go for headshots so that might be why.

 

 

Deal with it.

I for one am glad the tank is weaker. Get out and fight like a soldier.

I have noticed it's more difficult to kill players in cars when they drive by.

 

I fully expect the next DLC weapon to be a PEA SHOOTER or a SPUD GUN (no not the home made PVC type that shoots whole potatoes, the ones that you shoot potato pellets with by digging the barrel into a potato to get bits from)

The tanks have turned into BF tanks, at least you can still shoot fast with it but all of the tank drivers don't stand a chance against the jet master race. One swoop, one kill.

If a tank costs $1.5 million it makes sense for it to be overpowered, otherwise we might as well buy a f*cking NOOSE "tank". I'm not sure whether its been nerfed but if it has I think its slightly unfair, it is a tank after all and appropriately priced.

Yep there definetly was a nerf, and it becomes really obvious when it takes 3 hits with a heavy sniper to kill someone. That's not balance, heavy sniper is supposed to be powerful. It's now on par with the regular sniper.

as ny main weapon i know for sure that the heavy sniper have been getting nerfed with every update for a couple months now.

 

the draw distance got nerfed back when they removed tank sniping.

 

then they reduce the fire rate and now the damage.

 

body or headshots used to take only 1, nownit takes 2-3 direct shots to kill someone with the heavy sniper, having no upper hand when compared with the regular rifle.

OT: I have not noticed a nerf on any of the weapons in game. The heavy sniper sometimes took two shots to kill before 1.14 as well, and the AP pistol doesn't seem any less powerful

R* also seems to have a bit of a split personality, they also fixed certain bugs they said they were purposefully leaving alone because they didn't affect game play and where fun and listed them as exploits.

Fixed an exploit where players could launch cars into the air by driving into gates.
