Lmao I just checked my awards and found this:

 

HoldaRaceWorldRecord.png

This means I beat world record in R* race. It's a bug or that is true? Do you guys have that?

If you did a new race on the day of the patch, or did one of the new races lately with an unusual number of laps, there's a good chance you'd have got a record, as day 1 is always buggy for records.

Everyone of my friends including me got that too on the first day lol.

But I used to have a world record on Downtown Underground.

And I got one on 'Trend Setting' on Tuesday where the no.1 time is bad because leaderboards are glitchy.

I have had a few world records & not when the servers are down either... (When anyone gets a WR by just setting a time)

 

Most where air race or flight school stuff, I think most have been matched or marginally beaten now though as I rarely go for them anymore.

 

But the other day I set two for the new race with the Panto.

I dont really aim for world records because I heard people glitch their times and I can never really get one regardless of how good I am... so I just go to win.

Lots of them are held by modder scum and hackers tbh.

 

There are some which are still legit but not that many, you can always tell in the air races because the same guys have been dominating air race leaderboards since GTA 4. If you ever see Super-Pilot, TheQemist, DGG1ACE, Myself (Wildfire_08 or RadicalSpirit) & I think Madwarp & TheWildTurkey, those guys are all legit and showing you what the true leaderboard times are...

 

If you ever notice a guy wayyyyy faster (for instance 10 seconds+ on a short lap) than those guys, then they modded.

I was going to make a thread on this a few days ago.

R* wants to improve the playing experience. This is a small, but important fix. People don't have something to aim for when racing when the WRs are glitched.

I personally go for the best lap time possible than winning the race.

I love chasing World records, mainly because in the air races I know I can set them.

 

But I agree I have always wanted R* to fix the modded leaderboards... It ruins a small part of the game for a lot of people, & they never fixed it on GTA 4 either...

Everyone who did races from October - November has the World Record award.

I assume a lot of people got it from Criminal Records.

Someone put up Route 68 leader board times pls.

 

People seem to forget that when the servers go down, everyone can set a "World Record" but it does not actually record as a World record because its simply comparing the time against nothing & when the servers are back up, the true record holders (If they're not modders) are still there.

 

As you can see, you are not a real WR holder, no doubt just got a "WR" when the servers were down one day, its ok, its tricks a lot of people into thinking the same thing :p

All the main tracks for super cars have modders as the leaders.

 

So yeah... to all those people who have the award but are nowhere near the top leaderboard times, you never truly set a World Record, you just got one from the servers being down.

 

True board toppers are usually the same band of guys that have been doing it for years.

6 seconds on a short lap is a lot...

 

I will have a go at that one later and see what happens, but 6 second gap looks like a modder to me, various shortcuts etc will save a second here or there, but not generally 6...

 

Edit... Definitely a modder because "Devils-Shoes" has set a time of around the 44 second mark & he is another legit racer who puts up WRs.

had my world record award on the esrly days of gtao.

 

i hold the record for the Senora Desert Race for a couple hours. then my record was broken by 2 whole minutes. my record was 2:28 and the new record holder did the race in just 28 seconds, so yeah.

No lol, I know I had a 1:51 plenty of times, but it was not WR pace.

 

That leaderboard is full of modders & nos glitched cars though... All of the Super car tracks are like that.

If that track allows bikes, the record time must be set by a bike, either double-t or 801/rr.
