johnnyb15613
UPDATED: 6/25/2014 to Version 1.1 * Added a Detailed Info Window on a Marker Click that shows relevant info. You can Still use the old Window too, it's in Settings. * Added different ways to display Markers that you already have completed! Choose between Solid, Semi-Transparent, Black and White, or Remove them all together. * Added the rest of the User Submitted Markers, I made them and simply forgot to incorporate them before release. My bad. * The Zoom Clicked Setting only works if you are using the Detailed Info Window. You will also notice that the Markers will bounce when you click them using the Detailed Window. This is being looked into. This is a Google API Based Map for GTA 5! There is a short tutorial that will display showing how most things work (it's slightly changed from when I made the tut). This SHOULD work on ANY Android device running at least 3.0 Honeycomb. I have only tested on 2 devices, the Galaxy Nexus and a 10" Tablet. Optimized for Tablets. It features a checklist, so you will always know what you have collected and what you haven't. **Please Note:** The Checklist feature saves your checklist in a *SQLite Database*, so clearing the app data from settings, factory resetting your phone, or clearing Dalvik Cache will result in lost info. **Custom Markers** Set as many Custom Markers as you wish!! You can even get your cool finds added to the UserSubmitted Marker Database all available from within the app! This map relies on a network connection, sorry, no offline. You can also view and submit UserAdded markers, so we can try to localize mysterious objects. Push notifications are implemented, so don't be surprised to get a message every now and then. It also has a built in updater, so no need to hit this thread when I push an update. When you start the app, you will be prompted to update if there is one. This map features 8 different Map Types!! Road, Atlas, Satellite, a Satellite Hybrid, Collectors Edition, Collectors Edition Inverted, and 2 Hybrid Collectors Edition maps. **Please Note:** I had no file for the Collectors Edition Map, Glokon was kind enough to provide it for me. So all 4 Collectors Edition Maps are only possible because of him, huge thanks and much respect!! I love it when devs can share and advance, it's a great thing, so Glokon thank you sir for being a part of this community!! **Screenshots:** I will try to keep this updated IMGUR **To install:** I am NOT going to explain how to side load Android APK's, a simple Google search will get you the info you need. Download the APK, then follow your Googled instructions to install!! **Download:** GTA5CollectionsMap.apk I am open to suggestions and feedback, whether good or bad, so let me know what your experience is like, and hopefully we can shape this into a valuable tool. Please submit marker coordinate corrections, or general info corrections to [email protected] If upon first launch you are experiencing anything not working, remove the app from memory and then restart. SingularSoul
Tried and tested on my Nexus 5. Works fairly well, although it feels a little rough around the edges (Naturally). johnnyb15613 1 Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/718014-gta-v-google-api-android-map/#findComment-1065648320 Share on other sites

Also, working on an update that allows you to dim or get rid of Collectibles that you have already attained, as well as a new info window for markers Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/718014-gta-v-google-api-android-map/#findComment-1065648364 Share on other sites

johnnyb15613
That is a pretty useful app. I love the checklist set up. Thanks for posting it. No problem....would you like it even better if you could dim or just not see collectibles that you already have checked off? If so, make sure you update when it asks, I got 1.1 almost finished!! Sheldrake
Looks great! Just installed it, building the database now. Is it possible to support offline (no WiFi/data connection) in the future? Also, is it possible to turn this into a Play Store app so we can automatically get updates? johnnyb15613
Looks great! Just installed it, building the database now. Is it possible to support offline (no WiFi/data connection) in the future? Also, is it possible to turn this into a Play Store app so we can automatically get updates? No, my Google Play Account was Terminated for BS reasons. Also, you do get automatic updates!! When there is one available, (it checks everytime the app starts) it will ask you to update Also, to make this work offline you would need to download the map tiles, screenshots, etc to your device. It would be roughly over a 1 GB Download, then it would have to extract......Not really feasible. When I first started developing this, I had Offline as a choice, but as I started to make new maps and add screenies, I realized online was the only way to go. Sorry. Edit: Just about got the new options where I want them, update is imminent.
