Now, It is almost Impossible to recognise who has a bounty and who doesn't as most of the people in the server are full reds.

I wish more people thought that. It'd make surviving my bounties easier.

They're some of the best free roam moments I've ever had. Both as a chaser and a runner. Yesterday I had a guy with a bounty who was on a train. I called my... ... Hm... SULTAN. Thats it. And went chasing him down the tracks. Went about a mile ahead of the train and layer stickies down two sides of the track but I mis timed it or something as he got through, he eventually got hit by someone else who had parachuted down while off the radar and stabbed the guy in the back which I thought was f*cking epic! Most epic $5,000 I've ever seen made.

 

I once ended up on a train with a bounty on my head, being chased by two soviet sounding chaps! They were talking loudly to each other and I was actually scared haha!

Placing a 1000 dollar bounty on someone you're beefing with is just an extra f*ck you in my opinion. Pretty funny actually. Bounties should definitely be raised to at least 20 k. They won't up it though because then it's pretty easy for someone with glitched millions to place bounties and share cash with their friends.

OT. I can see the difference in the dots and my TV is not big. Just sit a little bit closer. Bounties SAVE money. Got a $1000 one quickly on an Entity driver yesterday, which saved me loads when I fired a RPG at him.

It all started with the introduction of the Mental Stat. As you know each player's colour [dot] will change according to Mental Stat. If a Player is Friendly the Dot will be White [Neutral]. If he is a bit mad dot will be pinkish and eventually if he goes Psycho the Dot will turn Full Red.

 

Now as we know before the Mental Stat the player with the bounty was easily identifiable cause he turned red. Then the every player on the map used to chase him. Now, It is almost Impossible to recognise who has a bounty and who doesn't as most of the people in the server are full reds.

 

Yesterday I came over some guys having a gunfight and I decided to join them. While fighting one of them I killed him and got the bounty on his head. I didn't even know he had it till then! I think Rockstar should do something about this Bounty Feature. It has Potential no doubt, But they should make some changes to it.

 

Changes Like:

 

1: Player with a bounty glows red [his dot]

2: Bounty amount should be increased [till 50k]

3: Separate Menu to indicate who has a bounty & who placed it on him

Bounty is always noticeable for me & I only play on 24 inch monitor.

 

The bounty has 1 great feature overriding everything else... It stops people going in passive mode... So in spawn killing against a guy who will jump in passive straight after 1 death, hit him with a bounty & voila, or put the bounty on him & wait for him to slip up and come out of passive, thus preventing him from getting back in until you kill him.

bounty only used if someone harrass u while neutral time .

the reason why it only limit to 10k ( actually 9k , as 1k is lester's cut ) to prevent a player boosting an account ( an act by having 2 account at once and help to one another ) , also cooldown aproximated 1 hour per placed player bounty so there's no cooldown if u put a bounty to another player aside last one u tagged him/her . but u can't place 2 bounties at once , the bounty can be place anyone else if that bounty has claimed ( if target leaves session , u will not place bounty unless u change session . same goes mugger & mercenaries )

 

player who has bounty is identifyable by '' X '' on his dot accompanied by red skull

 

the feature to show how much that bounty on player put does give notice everyone present , but it seems doesn't tell who was entered session after amount of bounty is placed to that target ( example : TRX-GTA entered session after bounty was placed on player , but when he spawned he doesn't know amount bounty that player has )

They should take off player names from the map and make it to where when you look at the map the bounty amount on the player appears over their dot on the map.

The whole screen could flash BOUNTY with a giant arrow pointing at the person and people would still complain. The dots are all fine, crew colors and friend colors are fine, just gets confusing when everyone is really close together. I dont see a color change of any sort helping when all the dots are on top of each other. Would have to be a 3rd radar option for close in combat to be of any use.

It's not hard at all you just need to be observant.

 

My standard procedure for joining a pubic lobby at last location is as follows:

1. Check the extended mini-map for hostiles.
2. Organise my weapons (fgs R*).
3. Scan the full map for point of interest such as bounties and crate drops etc.

I'd need to verify this but won't a bounty show up on the map legend separately to other players?

What do I think?

I think that, while being a decent idea in theory, that having players' names show up on your side-map was implemented poorly.

I can never tell how far someone is from me anymore with all those names covering half the map.

How is 9k useless? Sometimes people go AFC with bounties on their heads, easy money. But if 9k is useless to you then you should buy me 9k worth of ammo once per session

It´s easy to see the difference between a red dot and a bounty(bounty has the skull icon).

They are also not useless,I often get a bounty from NPCs for stealing their cars in invite only sessions and some money 48 minutes later,it´s a great way to make some easy money.

they didn't have the skull or black edges before when it first came out and yea I was confused as sh*t. but its fine now you need glasses or your tv small af if you cant tell the difference
