Bounty is a Useless Feature.

It all started with the introduction of the Mental Stat. As you know each player's colour [dot] will change according to Mental Stat. If a Player is Friendly the Dot will be White [Neutral]. If he is a bit mad dot will be pinkish and eventually if he goes Psycho the Dot will turn Full Red.

 

Now as we know before the Mental Stat the player with the bounty was easily identifiable cause he turned red. Then the every player on the map used to chase him. Now, It is almost Impossible to recognise who has a bounty and who doesn't as most of the people in the server are full reds.

 

Yesterday I came over some guys having a gunfight and I decided to join them. While fighting one of them I killed him and got the bounty on his head. I didn't even know he had it till then! I think Rockstar should do something about this Bounty Feature. It has Potential no doubt, But they should make some changes to it.

 

Changes Like:

 

1: Player with a bounty glows red [his dot]

2: Bounty amount should be increased [till 50k]

3: Separate Menu to indicate who has a bounty & who placed it on him

I think you don't know what the term useless means, and I assume you have too small of a tv.

 

There is a skull icon on the map. It works fine for me. Bounties are useful to bait players towards you or to get the lobby after another. I agree their value should be upped a bit.

I'm not 100% sure but I think I could tell if someone had a bounty, because their blimp could have a skull and bones, idk I just know that I never had a problem telling the difference

Never had a problem with it. Bounties are easily identifiable with the skull and bones. But more $ for bounties would be good. Who needs $9000 dollars these days?

Its easy to identify. Its not that hard to notice a difference between the blimps when one has a skull in the center.

Easily distinguishable, what really could be a problem is flying in a jet & having cops and player blips looking the same.

I think the blip should only change color based on violence towards other players. Me and my crew spent hours blowing sh*t up and shooting cops but are completely passive towards other players and all friendly, the red dot shouldnt be there just cause we are having fun.

Basically this, I only have a issue with identifying blips and other icons when playing on a smaller SD screen.

I think OP was just confused when someone one got a bounty placed on them, all he saw was red dots and not the skull & bones(cause they were in Sandy shores or something)

I killed the same guy with a bounty 3 times yesterday and never got the money. the game just kicked him from the session instead. rockstar cant add something without breaking something else.

It makes it pretty obvious. I mean, unless you don't have HD television... if you do, you'd easily see they're given a skull symbol.

 

I made the switch to HD about 5 years ago and not only was the visual difference almost sickening but the sound. Did you ever notice an electric high pitched whine from your tv? HD doesn't do that.

If you want to see what a bounty on someone is worth then just ring Lester, try place a bounty on said player and he'll stop you and tell you the amount on their head already.

 

It's longwinded but it helps me decide whether it's worth chasing them. Anything under 4k, I don't bother.
