"Out of Commission" hits again

I play GTA 4 on a XBOX 360 console.

About one year ago I stopped completing the above mission because after flying off the bike onto the helicopter Niko was unable to climb in.

Now I resumed the game trying to complete it; despite my frantic pushing on the A button nothing has changed; after few seconds Niko falls into the water.

Now I ask whether someone, working on the same platform (XBOX 360), has succeeded in overcoming the impasse and obviously how he did.

I just did the mission today. All I did was tapping "A" as fast as I can. That's the only way to pass this part of the mission.

Tap it as fast as you can, that's all I can honestly tell you in terms of help.

Thanks to everybody that answered the topic.

In the meantime I give some information on my tapping; during the 22 seconds Niko remains in the air hanged to the helicopter I succeed in tapping about 65-70 times.

Has somebody the idea how much should the figure be in order to fulfil the target?

I remain hopeful for an answer.
