topeira
as im waiting for the PC version and after watching quit a lot of MP DM and TDM matches it seems like most ppl do not use the cover system at all. they seem to prefer strafing left and right rather than using cover. What is your approach to cover system in MP - useful? suicidal? and why?....
hornedturtle
free aim it's useless. way to easy to line up a shot on someone in cover. autoaim it is ok, unless they use explosives. in the end it is better to be a moving target
topeira
i've seen ppl hide slightly deeper behind cover so they are not both hiding AND being exposed.... isnt it useful to hide in cover ( a little deeper than right at the edge) and popping out, taking a few shots and going back into cover and stepping out again when the enemy isnt ready? i guess the reason why using cover in MP isnt useful is because moving and shooting doesnt penalize the player with lessened accuracy. if it did than a stationary player that CAN go in and out of cover and become harder to hit WOULD have had an advantage of better accuracy over a plater that's constantly moving.... Sofa
In freeaim, no I wouldn't say useless, but often the least controllable option for me atleast, i struggle sometimes with where and how (eventual position) the character takes cover after moving, seems abit wonky (maybe i fail), and when someone is shooting at me survival is down to luck in my case using the cover action. Anticapating someone pursuing you and ambushing them from cover works, especially if they're tunnelvisioning and sprinting after you into enclosed space. Not that i play much online, due to freezing (crap isp i reckon). The learning curve is fairly flat anyway....

Arrows to Athens
Use the corner glitching technique. The wall must always be on your left due to the absence of a shoulder switch mechanic in the game. The glitch works in almost any TPS game. You take cover behind a wall and aim your reticle on the enemy and shoot him without exposing yourself. With this you can literally shoot through walls.
