Do you think it'll be possible to make new interiors?

(For this thread, I'm talking about a hypothetical mod that adds new interiors, not a mod for accessing interiors that are already in the game, but inaccessible outside of missions, because that kind of mod WILL happen.) One mod idea I've seen around here a lot is "More new interiors!". Now, I see where you guys are coming from with this idea, but... do you really expect a mod for this to happen, or is it (for you) just a good idea, but one that will never happen?

it will definately be possible, but you also have to think of the fact that people may not have the quality that rockstar has on their interiors, which for me would make it pointless. it would have to be better or on par with rockstars work. don't get me wrong I would love to see it done, there are a lot of places i would like to see some interiors, the dam being one of them. it will be interesting to see if anyone does it though; I mean did anyone make interiors for the previous GTA's? i don't recall any that werent just copied interiors in the game already.

I'm almost positive there will be a *few* more interiors in the next iteration of GTA V.

with the use of mods? the answer is probably yes i suppose, question is whether a modder will make it one day for the PC version or not, only time will tell.

The dam actually does have an interior, it's just not very exciting.

- sure, why not .... but first of all I expect from R* to give us more safehouses/mansions/villas to buy in SP mode in next-gen version (than actual 2 SH per character in CG) and that'll be excellent polygon for mod makers to create various mods for the thing that you talking about

Of course it's possible. The results will be really sh*t, though. I don't think many people here are very clued up on interior design and soft furnishings (well, there may be a few Bronies around here that could be into it, who knows?)

Signatures are dumb anyway.

Possible, but probably won't look too nice.

The interiors R* locked although, probably will be unlocked with help of holy modding.

Didn't people do this with GTA SA? It was different because the interiors had a separate universe.

I don't get what's so freaking important about interiors!

Yeah, sure, they're good, when they're needed. When you have weapons to buy, it makes sense to buy them indoors (though I'd prefer a dark alley for the REAL weaponry, really), when you have food to eat, you might like to eat in and stare at the pretty waitresses. But heck, there's not that much fun to be had indoors, really.

I mean, you've got this huge map with a great amount of depth, yet you're complaining because it's missing a few more enclosed 30x30 foot areas? Where are the helicopters to shoot? Where are the vehicles to steal? Where can you fire a gun without deafening yourself?

Go outside...

Have you ever heard of details? People like details.

Of course it's possible. But if Rockstar decide to be lazy again, then kiss that prospect goodbye.

Interiors are nice for the occasional improvised shootout location.

Let's say you're in a long ass chase with the police and your vehicle has taken some beating, you see a nearby food joint or store where you reckon you can hold up for the "last stand".

I've done this a few times. Though I have a trainer and god mode on, I stage myself dying at will.

It can be fun if you're creative. But they don't have any real long-term appeal. Even if they're detailed. They aren't constant. You enter and you leave. Unlike the open world of LS and Blaine County, which always has detail and life wherever you go, so it keeps the immersion very consistent.

The reason why I made this thread is because I don't think you were able to make new interiors in GTA IV, and since both games use the same engine, I'm having doubts that you'll be able to make brand new interiors. I could be totally wrong though.

I bet there will be.

Here are some examples I can think of.

-High quality versions of interiors that you can see when looking through windows. Except they are detailed and you can go in them.

-Casino interior.

-Interior to Maze Bank Arena.

-If we can have our own GTA Online servers, new houses.

-Interior from the GTA IV Burger Shot used to make the unenterable Burger Shot enterable as it has an identical exterior compared to the one in GTA IV.

-Possibly some land marks enterable. There was one building in LA Noire that had a pretty detailed interior. That interior could be brought to GTA V's version of that land mark and made enterable.

-Cut scene interiors enterable, and maybe even with new areas added to them.

-New maps could also have interiors.

Edit: Also you could make interiors on IV. I haven't seen ones that look as nice as the ones in the regular game but most TC mods on IV were conversions from the III era games so they were 6th gen quality on a 7th gen game.

I don’t even think they will let the mission interiors open. I wouldn’t create false hopes or you will be really disappointed when the game comes out, remember what happened with the hype in the first release.

PC = Mods

Mods = Random sh*t

Random sh*t = everything you can think of.

Think about GTA IVs mods. There were a sh*tload of them. New maps, vehicles, characters, script mods, etc etc.

Since Rockstar Games doesn't care about the game files when the game is sold to you the modding span should be nearly unlimited. :D

Technically speaking yes, I think so at least. I've never personally found interior mods that add entirely new interiors build from scratch into buildings that were never meant to have one

However, I have seen the following:

Remodeled interiors, interiors that were already in the game were just retouched

Completely new buildings placed on random empty lots across the map with new interiors

Vehicles like yachts or trucks that had a modeled built in accesible interior

But don't ever expect any moded interiors to be on par with what Rockstar does, that's never gonna happen. No mods are ever on par with what the devs can do, let alone interiors

It will be also possible to open up the closed ones.
