dansaint
3 disk game Scene starts current day in Los Santos. Scene is in the back of a stretch limo as it drives through the city. In the back we have two people, a younger "preppy" style guy and an older gentlemen who looks more distinguished. The younger guy keeps telling the older man that this deal is going to be profitable for both of them and he can finally get "away from it all". Scene ends with a gentleman opening the door for both men and they are in front of Richards Majestic studios, where Michael De Santa meets both men. We find out the older gentleman is a former mob boss who's selling his life story to Michael's studio (we find out that Soloman Richards died of a heart attack and Michael was named the new President of Richards Majestic) to be made into a major motion picture (a parody of all the people who have asked when we'll see a GTA movie) The man tells his story...from his humble beginnings on the streets of 1970's Liberty City (maybe as a mob body guard, a hitman, a "collector", and eventually a "capo") 1st disk is 1970's Liberty City. Mainly disco music. Mafia runs "Studio 69" (a parody of the former Studio 54 discotheque). The character starts out as just some hired gun but elevates his way to the top before becoming a capo, a leader of his own group of guys within a family). it's then that the "don" sends him down to Vice City to run the operations down there. 2nd disk is his days with the mob in 80s of Vice City (tons of 80's music and more 80s fashion and pop culture), mainly running the drug and prostitution market (maybe also tells the story of what eventually happened to Tommy Vercetti). The character eventually gets busted in a massive sting and is sent to jail for quite a while) 3rd disk is present day San Andreas/Las Venturas as he went quiet in the 90s (or was in jail...but tends to know a lot of the info from the San Andreas game). He is out of the "game" for the most part but still runs some gambling outfits in Las Venturas. He discovers he's dying of cancer and decides to make some major money for his wife and children/grand children by telling his story to a man he knows will tell it the right way, a man who's lived the same way he has. After selling his story, Michael tells him that he will be able to see his story play out on the big screen. As the character is leaving the studio, his attorney (who's the younger preppy guy from earlier) is pestering him about not holding out for more. The character shoots his attorney and walks off, knowing that in his deteriorating health...he'll never go to trial and chuckles as he walks off into the San Andreas night. dansaint
3 discs? the main reason being the talk from the developers that GTA could be ending. Houser did an interview after GTA V came out and was talking about the series possibly ending if they couldn't develop more ideas. My idea is if they do decide to end the series. Plus, with 3 discs...they could do a lot more stuff. Use more ideas, imput more songs, better graphics if each disc was it's own game. Plus, they could make a ton off of it because they know people would buy it in volume. Tyla
These are awesome ideas. I love it. You've got every city covered and in their heydey. LC in the 70s with the disco and decadence; Vice in the 80s with the hedonistic cocaine lifestyle; San Andreas in the 90s. It would be the perfect swansong. The protagonist sounds cool as f*ck. Three discs would be no problem at all. Great job. I wouldn't mind seeing more of this. squeezx
I like the idea of crossing multiple decades with the story. Reminds me of the one driver game that was set in the 70s and modern time. Great ideas! Tyla 1 Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/717863-idea-for-gta-vi-dynasty/#findComment-1065664533 Share on other sites
Tyla
Three disks, what's the problem? Wouldn't you just install them to hard drive and play consistently anyway? And with the way technology is going, what's to say there'd even be disks? By the time the next GTA comes out we could be downloading it. For all the genre and city specific content they could pack into three discs I'd be pretty pissed if it were thrown to waste to squeeze it onto just the one.
