I wouldn't consider the grenade launcher and the sniper generic, but you can call the assault rifle generic. I want the L85A2, but that's it, no more assault rifles after that! Yeah definitely. I loved that gun in Vice City, in fact it was my favorite gun, see my avatar. I would love to see a nice revolver like that in V, or at least in the next GTA. If it's like this, I'm definitely more interested than usual. Stuff like this makes me wish for better damage physics(to AI) though. voyager Posted June 22, 2014 Share Posted June 22, 2014 (edited) a glock is just another pistol. useless. a 'nade launcher with explosive rounds.. well that could be interesting, or it could be just a slightly tweaked version of what's already in the game. a slow prop plane that i will probably never fly at all, because.. lazer.. meh. i'm not trying to hate, but i agree with the other people who are unimpressed. i don't want to see the last remaining weapon slots taken up by more of the same. give us a silent projectile weapon, so we can actually do stealth - like a bow, or throwing stars/knives, or a blowgun. give us a harpoon gun or a nail gun from one of the construction sites so we can pin peds to walls and cars. give us a gruesome option for melee - a chainsaw or a katana, with bloody dismemberment effects. give us a plane worth flying, like another military jet (warthog?) or a second attack helicopter, slower but better armored. give us more driveable heavy machinery, like a crane or a steamroller. i already have a handful of pistols i never use, and a handful or rifles i never use, and a handful of planes there is no use in flying. once you've found the best armor and enchanted weapons in a fantasy RPG, do you ever go back to using mediocre items? 'ell no. so what use do i have for mediocre guns and mediocre aircraft at this point? don't take me wrong. i'm just sick of boring mini-dlc's and eager for a full-on story update. Rockstar would have to either re-design the interior completely and apply the new layout to all existing Ammunations, or use the website so we order them by email. I guess they could just redesign the one wall where the DLC weapons go and leave the rest of the layout the same, but I'm not sure, we'll have to wait and see how they come up with a solution if they give us more weapons. I don't have the SE/CE, so I have an extra 2-3 slots. Obviously the people with SE/CE don't have the extra slots, which is why they need to do something in order for us to get more weapons. I also appreciate the need for those eccentric weapons like airburst grenade launchers, chainsaws, and crossbows. It would be cool if GTA:O stocked up with enough weapons that choosing a submachinegun would be like accessorizing your character. Like in Don't be a Menace.
